The Santa Maria goldcrest (Regulus regulus sanctaemariae) Estrelinha-de-poupa in Portuguese, is a subspecies of the goldcrest. It is endemic to Santa Maria Island in the Azores archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean where it is a non-migratory resident. [2]
