Sauvik Banerjjee was born and raised in Jodhpur Park in a middle-class family. His father, Ranabir Banerjee, is a professor of applied physics, and his mother, Sreoshi, is an entrepreneur and former cricketer. He completed his early education in India and later attended St. Xavier’s College, where he pursued studies in Economics and Statistics. He subsequently left college midway and relocated to the United Kingdom.
Sauvik completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees in Economics and Statistics through the distance education programme at the University of Calcutta. He later pursued research in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Physical Robotics, undertaking academic and research work at the University of Sunderland and the University of Durham. His academic background combined quantitative disciplines with emerging fields in artificial intelligence and intelligent systems, forming the foundation for his later work in technology and digital platforms.

Sauvik Banerjjee was a professional cricketer who represented Bengal in domestic cricket, including appearances in the Ranji Trophy. During his time with the Bengal team, he played alongside several notable cricketers, including Sourav Ganguly, Arun Lal, Syed Saba Karim, and Deep Dasgupta, representing his home state in India’s premier domestic cricket competition.
