The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is a collegiate athletic conference whose full members are historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the Southeastern and the Mid-Atlantic United States. The Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is a multi-program national laboratory for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Environmental Management. SRNL is located at the Savannah River Site (SRS) near Jackson, South Carolina. It was founded in 1951, as the Savannah River Laboratory. It was certified as a national laboratory on May 7, 2004.

The Baltimore Burn is a Women's American football team that last played in the Women's Spring Football League in 2015. Formerly a member of the National Women's Football Association from 2001 to 2008 and the Women's Football Alliance from 2009 to 2010, they played in the Women's Spring Football League from 2011 to 2015. The Burn first played at Art Modell Field on the campus of Mergenthaler Vocational Technical Senior High School, but in 2013 they relocated to Utz Towardowizc field in Patterson Park.
The Keystone Assault is a member of the United States Women Football League. Previously have been a member of the Women's Football Alliance and a former charter member of the league. The team began play in the WFA for its inaugural 2009 season. Based in the Pennsylvania capital of Harrisburg, the Assault plays its home games at Lower Dauphin Middle School and formerly at East Pennsboro High School in nearby Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. The team was derived from many players and coaches from the defunct Central PA Vipers (2006-2009).
The Los Angeles Amazons were a women's semi-professional American football team based in Los Angeles, California. A member of the Women's Football Alliance, the Amazons played their home games at Miguel Contreras Learning Complex.
The Maine Rebels are a football team in the Independent Women's Football League based in Portland, Maine. Home games are played at Memorial Stadium on the campus of Deering High School. They were formerly known as the Southern Maine Rebels until 2011.
The Palm Beach Punishers are a football team in the Women's Football Alliance based in Palm Beach County, Florida. Home games are played on the campus of Palm Beach Central High School in nearby Wellington. The team's name and logo are a reference to comic book character The Punisher, who resided in Palm Beach in the 2004 film of the same name.
The Tampa Bay Inferno is a team of the Women's Football Alliance that began play for the 2012 season and is based in Tampa, Florida. Home games are played at Sickles High School.
The Utah Blitz is a team of the Women's Football Alliance (WFA) which began play in the 2010 season. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Blitz plays its home games at Taylorsville High School in Taylorsville.
The Houston Power is a women's football which started in 2010. They are a member of the Women's Football Alliance. Based in Houston, Texas, the Power play their home games at Pioneer Stadium on the campus of Lutheran Academy South in Houston, Texas.
The Arkansas Wildcats are a team of the Women's Football Alliance which began play for the 2011 season. Based in Little Rock, Arkansas the Wildcats played their home games on the campus of Little Rock Central High School.
The Atlanta Heartbreakers are a team of the Women's Spring Football League which began play for the 2011 season. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, home games are played on the campus of Pebblebrook High School in nearby Mableton. They were members of the Women's Football Alliance for their inaugural season before leaving for the WSFL for the 2013 season.
The Indy Crash was a women's full contact football team of the Women's Football Alliance based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Home games were played at Roncalli High School.
The Derby City Dynamite is a women's professional full-contact/tackle football team of the Women's Football Alliance that began play in 2012. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, the Dynamite's home venue is John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown.
The Seattle Spartans are a Women's Football Alliance team based in Everett, Washington. The team was founded in 2012 and originally named Everett Reign. They play at Everett Memorial Stadium.
The Savannah State Lady Tigers women's basketball team represents Savannah State University in women's basketball. The school competes in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Lady Tigers play home games at Tiger Arena in Savannah, Georgia. The current head coach is Cedric Baker. Baker was named head coach on July 30, 2003.
