George Oywello was a Ugandan boxer. Born in Gulu, Uganda, Oywello competed for Uganda in both the 1960 Olympics in Rome and the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo. In 1964 boxing in the heavyweight competition he was beaten by eventual gold medal winner, Joe Frazier. He died in a car accident in 1965.
Merven Clair is a Mauritian boxer. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's middleweight event, in which he was eliminated in the first round by Hosam Bakr Abdin. He also competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the welterweight class where he was also eliminated in the first round, that time by Kenya's Rayton Okwiri. At the 68th edition of the Strandja Memorial in February 2017, he placed third after a defeat in the semifinals to eventual tournament winner Pat McCormack. At the 2017 African Boxing Championships in Brazzaville, Clair secured a silver medal in the 69 kg weight class, suffering his only defeat of the tournament in the final against Muzamiru Kakande from Uganda. He won the gold medal at the 2019 African Games in Rabat, Morocco in the welterweight class by defeating the Nigerian boxer Abdulafeez Osoba in the final. At the 2020 African Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament, he was defeated in the quarterfinals by Stephen Zimba by referee stoppage in the second round.
Catherine Adipo is a Ugandan sportswoman, sports administrator and the first female FIFA referee in Uganda as well as East and Central Africa.
Moses Muhangi is a former Ugandan professional boxer, entrepreneur and the current president of the Uganda Boxing Federation. He is an appointed Committee member on the Africa Boxing Confederation. He is also an appointed member of both the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Marketing Commission and also the AIBA National Federations Election Observers Commission since 2021
Uganda competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the nation's official debut in 1956, Ugandan athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games, with the exception of the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal because of its partial support of the African boycott.
Uganda competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. Initially 77 athletes were scheduled to represent Uganda. This later rose to 78 athletes. Athletes representing Uganda won two silver medals and eight bronze medals and the country finished in 28th place in the medal table.

Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa is a Ugandan teacher, business man and entrepreneur who serves as the director and president of a football club, Vipers SC. He is the former president of the Uganda football governing board FUFA where he served for nine straight years, the second longest serving FUFA president after Kabaka Daudi Chwa in (1924-1932). He is also the executive director and former Head teacher of the school St. Mary's Secondary School Kitende.
Kathleen Grace Noble is an Irish-Ugandan rower. She is recognized as the first Ugandan to qualify for rowing at the Olympics in the Women's Single Scull. She is also recognized as having achieved Uganda's best time so far in the 50m butterfly at the FINA World Swimming Championships.
Husnah Kukundakwe is a Ugandan swimmer who is currently the country's only classified paralympic swimmer. Her first appearance at the World Championships in London was mentioned among the International Paralympic Committee’s (IPC’s) Top 10 Moments of 2019.

The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) is the body mandated to organise, promote and develop the sport of boxing in Uganda as stipulated in the Sports Act of 1964 and other subsequent sports-related rules and regulations in Uganda. The UBF was founded in 1950 and is affiliated to the International Boxing Association.
Roy Mubiru is a Ugandan powerlifter. He participated in the 2022 Strongman Championship.
