The Shakey's Super League (SSL) is a women's collegiate volleyball league in the Philippines. [1] The league is organized by Shakey's Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. (SPAVI) and the Athletic Events and Sports Management Group Inc. (ACES). [2] [3]
The Shakey's Super League was formally launched on August 16, 2022, at the Shakey's Pizza ASEANA outlet in Parañaque City. [4] This marks the return of Shakey's Pizza in Philippine volleyball since they served as the title sponsor for the Shakey's V-League (now Premier Volleyball League) from 2004 to 2017. [4]
The inaugural season was the Collegiate Pre-Season Tournament composed of teams from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) held from September 22 to November 28, 2022, in Metro Manila. [4] The first tournament marks the return of full preseasons for the UAAP and NCAA teams since they were forced to resort to tune-ups due to disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. [5]
The second tournament was the Shakey's Girls' Volleyball Invitational League (SGVIL), which was for high school teams instead of collegiate teams. Its participants include both from the NCAA and the UAAP and four teams from schools outside Metro Manila. It was launched in May 2023. [6]

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League (SVL), a women's collegiate league. In 2017 the league was renamed into Premier Volleyball League. From 2011 to 2020, the league was open to participation of corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams. The league status turned professional in 2021.
The UST Growling Tigers are the college athletic teams representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. They hold the most UAAP Overall Championships with 45 Seniors' Overall Championships and 21 Juniors' Overall Championships.
Alyssa Caymo Valdez is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was a member of the collegiate varsity women's volleyball team of Ateneo de Manila University in both indoor and beach volleyball. She was most outstanding as an indoor volleyball player where she brought multiple championship titles and a lot of honor for the university. She is a current member of Philippines national team. Her global recognition paved the way for her to play in other countries like Thailand for 3BB Nakornnont and Taiwan for Attack Line Volleyball Club.
The Philippine Super Liga was a non-professional corporate club women's volleyball league in the Philippines. It was first organized by SportsCore Event Management and Consultancy, Inc. and later owned by Athletic Events & Sports Management Group (ACES), Inc. The league was envisioned to provide former collegiate players a league with which they can continue with their volleyball career.

Rachel Anne Lopez Daquis is a Filipino volleyball player. She graduated from the Far Eastern University where she took up Business Management. She was also the team captain of the PLDT HOME TVolution women's team that played in the 2014 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. She is a former team captain of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in her collegiate years, where she was given the title "Queen Tamaraw". She played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) with the Cignal HD Spikers and is the PSL's brand ambassador for 2018 to 2019. In 2020, her team Cignal HD Spikers transferred to the Premier Volleyball League.
Dennise Michelle "Denden" Garcia Lazaro-Revilla is a Filipina professional volleyball player. Lazaro is a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team. She is known as the libero and Ateneo Lady Eagles' Iron Eagle.

Diana Mae "Tots" Carlos is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers.
