During his reign as minister there are a couple of achievements and challenges that he faced [3] - The 3.6-kilometre-long Freedom Bridge, [4] and a challenge of the $700 million 400 kilometres Juba – Wau highway which was washed away by rains. [5]
Central Equatoria is a state in South Sudan. With an area of 43,033 square kilometres (16,615 sq mi), it is the smallest of the original South Sudanese states. Its previous name was Bahr al-Jabal, named after a tributary of the White Nile that flows through the state. It was renamed Central Equatoria in the first Interim Legislative Assembly on 1 April 2005 under the government of Southern Sudan. Central Equatoria seceded from Sudan as part of the Republic of South Sudan on 9 July 2011. The state's capital, Juba, is also the national capital of South Sudan. On October 2, 2015, the state was split into three states: Jubek, Terekeka, and Yei River. The state of Central Equatoria was re-established by a peace agreement signed on 22 February 2020.
European route E6 is the main north–south thoroughfare through Norway as well as the west coast of Sweden. It is 3,056 km (1,899 mi) long and runs from the southern tip of Sweden at Trelleborg, into Norway and through almost all of the country north to the Arctic Circle and Nordkapp. The route ends in Kirkenes close to the Russian border.

The mass media in South Sudan is underdeveloped compared to many other countries, including fellow East African states like Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Poor transportation infrastructure and entrenched poverty in the country inhibit both the circulation of newspapers, particularly in states located far from the capital of Juba, and the ability of media outlets to maintain regular coverage of the entire country.
Taban Deng Gai is a South Sudanese politician who has been one of the Vice Presidents of South Sudan in the unity government since February 2020. He served as the First Vice President of South Sudan from 23 July 2016 to February 2020. He was mining minister before being appointed as acting first vice president.
The Georgian S1 route, is a "road of international importance" with a registered length of 542.7 kilometres (337.2 mi) within the Georgian classification system, which makes it the longest Georgian highway route. It runs from Tbilisi via Mtskheta, Gori, Khashuri, Zestaponi, Kutaisi, Samtredia, Senaki, Zugdidi, Sukhumi and Gagra to the border with Russia near Leselidze at the northwestern tip of the country, covering in practice 537 kilometres (334 mi). After crossing the Georgia–Russia border in breakaway Abkhazia, the highway continues to Sochi and Krasnodar as A147. It is part of European E60, E97 and E117 routes and Asian Highways AH5, AH81 and AH82, and connects with six other S-routes.
The Juba–Nimule Road is a road in South Sudan connecting the capital city of Juba in the Eastern Equatoria and the town of Nimule in Magwi County.
The T2 is a trunk road in Zambia. The road runs from the Tunduma border with Tanzania via Mpika, Kabwe and Lusaka to the Chirundu border with Zimbabwe. The road is the longest route of the country, as it is approximately 1,155 kilometres (718 mi). The route from Mpika to Kafue is a toll road. The route from Tanzania to Lusaka is Zambia's Great North Road and is part of the Tanzam Highway.

The 2019–2022 Sudanese protests were street protests in Sudan which began in mid-September 2019, during Sudan's transition to democracy, about issues which included the nomination of a new Chief Justice and Attorney General, the killing of civilians by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the toxic effects of cyanide and mercury from gold mining in Northern state and South Kordofan, opposition to a state governor in el-Gadarif and to show trials of Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA) coordinators, and advocating the dismissal of previous-government officials in Red Sea, White Nile, and South Darfur. The protests follow the Sudanese Revolution's street protests and civil disobedience of the early September 2019 transfer of executive power to the country's Sovereignty Council, civilian prime minister Abdalla Hamdok, and his cabinet of ministers. Hamdok described the 39-month transition period as defined by the aims of the revolution.
Albino Bol Dhieu is a South Sudanese politician and the incumbent Minister of Youth and Sports in South Sudan since 12 March 2020. He is a member of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement.
Paulino Lukudu Obede, is a South Sudanese politician. He is currently the Deputy Governor for Central Equatoria State in the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU) as of 2024. Paulino is one of the youngest South Sudanese to be appointed to a gubernatorial post at 34. Lukudu has previously served as Minister for Information for Central Equatoria, a member of the South Sudan National Dialogue, and a member of the Transitional National Legislature which is equivalent to Senate in other countries. He served as an MP among the appointees of the Other Political Parties on 17 September 2021, and later in 2023 became the Chief Whip of the Other Political Parties (OPP). Chief Whip is the Chairperson of the Party's Parliamentary Caucus. until his elevation to the position of Deputy Governor.
Martin Elia Lomuro is a South Sudanese politician. Lomuro is currently the Minister of Cabinet Affairs in the Revitalised Transitional Government of National Unity (R-TGoNU) as of 2022. He is also the leader of the National Agenda, a registered political party formally known as South Sudan Democratic Forum, SSSDF.
The Juba–Terekeka–Rumbek Road also Juba–Rumbek Road, is a road in South Sudan, connecting the cities of Juba and Rumbek, through Terekeka, Tindalo and Yirol. As of September 2022, the road is under improvement and rehabilitation to class II bitumen standard, with bridges, culverts, shoulders and drainage channels. The work has been going on since 2019.
Aggrey Jaden Road also known as "Juba-Yei-Morobo-Kaya Road", is a highway which connects South Sudan to the Uganda border. The road stretches from Juba which serves as the capital and the largest city in the country connection via Lainya County to Yei, Morobo and Kaya which is the border point. The road was renamed after Aggrey Jaden who was a revolutionary freedom fighter for the struggle of South Sudan independence.
