Simon Skrabb (born 19 January 1995) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Super League Greece club Volos.

Club career

Jaro

On 12 May 2011, he became the youngest player to score a goal in a Veikkausliiga match. [2]

Skrabb is also noted for having scored a scorpion kick in an away match against Gefle IF while playing for Åtvidaberg in the 2015 Allsvenskan. [3] In spite of this, Skrabb's team were relegated from the Swedish top flight at the end of the season after finishing bottom of the table.

IFK Norrköping

On 9 December 2016 it was reported that Skrabb had signed a four-year contract with IFK Norrköping. [4]

Brescia

On 13 January 2020, he signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Italian club Brescia, [5] for a transfer fee of €2.8 million plus bonuses. [6] His time with Brescia was plagued by multiple consecutive injuries. The team was also coached by six different head coaches during 18 months span due to a turmoil in the club, and eventually his contract was terminated by mutual consent on 22 October 2021. [7] Skrabb played only 21 games with Brescia.

Kalmar

On 26 January 2022, Skrabb signed with Kalmar FF in Sweden for the 2022 season. [8] During the 2023 season, Skrabb occasionally wore the captain's armband with Kalmar. He finished the 2023 season scoring 9 goals and giving 8 assists in 30 Allsvenskan matches.

On 17 February 2024, Skrabb was officially named the captain of Kalmar FF for the 2024 season. [9]

Volos

Skrabb left Kalmar after the relegation and signed with Super League Greece club Volos, starting in January 2025. [10] He made his Greek league debut on 5 January, as a starter in a 4–2 away defeat against AEK Athens. Skrabb scored his first goal in the league on 1 February, in a 1–1 draw against Panserraikos.

International career

He made his debut for the Finland national team on 10 January 2016 in a friendly match in Abu Dhabi against Sweden, entering the game as a substitute for Roope Riski. [11]

Allsvenskan 2008, part of the 2008 Swedish football season, was the 84th Allsvenskan season played. The first match was played on 30 March 2008 and the last matches were played on 9 November 2008.

The 2011 season was Malmö FF's 100th in existence, their 76th season in Allsvenskan and their 11th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan, where they finished in 4th position, Svenska Cupen, where they were knocked out in the quarter-finals, Svenska Supercupen, where they finished as runners-up, the UEFA Champions League, where they were knocked out in the play-off round and finally the UEFA Europa League, where they were knocked out in the group stage. Malmö FF were the reigning champions of Allsvenskan and also returned to European cup play after a five-year absence. Manager Roland Nilsson left the club on 29 May to become the new manager for F.C. Copenhagen, he was replaced by Rikard Norling who officially became the new Malmö FF manager on 3 June.

The 2012 season was Malmö FF's 101st in existence, their 77th season in Allsvenskan and their 12th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan where they finished in 3rd position. Malmö FF also participated in one competition in which the club continued playing in for the 2013 season, 2012–13 Svenska Cupen. The season was Rikard Norlings first full season as the club's manager as he joined the club halfway through the 2011 season. Ulrich Vinzents was appointed new club captain as the former captain, Daniel Andersson, announced that he would prioritise his coaching career as one of Malmö FF's three assistant managers. However, injury problems for the club's defender saw Andersson playing ten out of twelve league matches before the break for UEFA Euro 2012 and thus also holding the captaincy, Andersson continued to play sporadically after the summer break. Appointed captain Vinzents was injured in an early stage of the season and Miiko Albornoz was brought into the starting eleven, Albornoz held the position until the end of the season. Due to these circumstances third captain Jiloan Hamad held the captaincy for the majority of the matches throughout the season.

The 2015 Allsvenskan season, was the 91st edition of top tier Allsvenskan football competition since its founding in 1924 under the authority of the Swedish Football Association in Sweden; the 2015 Swedish football season. 16 teams contested the league; 14 returning from the 2014 season and two that were promoted from Superettan. The 2015 fixtures were released on 21 January 2015. The season started on 4 April 2015, when BK Häcken visited newly promoted Hammarby IF at Tele2 Arena and ended on 31 October 2015.

The 2015 season was IFK Norrköping's 118th in existence, their 75th season in Allsvenskan and 5th consecutive season in the league.
