The 2024 Allsvenskan was the 100th season since its establishment in 1924 of Sweden's top-level football league, Allsvenskan. The season began on 30 March 2024 and ended on 10 November 2024 (not including play-off matches).

Contents

Malmö FF successfully defended their Swedish championship title with their fourth such title in five years by defeating rivals IFK Göteborg 2–1 at Stadion on 28 October 2024.

Teams

The league consisted of sixteen teams; the top fourteen sides from the previous season, and two teams promoted from the 2023 Superettan. The promoted teams were Västerås SK (promoted after a 27-year absence) and GAIS (promoted after an 11-year absence), replacing the Allsvenskan relegated teams of Degerfors IF (relegated after 3 years in the top flight) and Varbergs BoIS (relegated after 4 years in the top flight). Malmö FF will enter the season as defending champions.

For the twelfth year running, the broadcaster of Allsvenskan, Max, hosted an award ceremony where they presented seven awards and two special awards to the players and staff of the 16 Allsvenskan clubs, the award ceremony was held on 20 November 2024. [29] The nominations for the 2024 season were officially announced on 15 November 2017. [30] Nominees are displayed below, the winners are marked in bold text. Hammarby IF received the most nominations with five nominations, while Malmö FF received five nominations, Djurgårdens and AIK received three nominations, IF Brommapojkarna received two nominations, IFK Göteborg, Mjällby AIF, Västerås SK and Gais each received one nomination.

The 2015 fixtures were released on 21 January 2015. The season started on 4 April 2015, when BK Häcken visited newly promoted Hammarby IF at Tele2 Arena and ended on 31 October 2015.

The 2015–16 Svenska Cupen will be the 60th season of Svenska Cupen and the fourth season with the current format. The winners of the competition will earn a place in the second qualifying round of the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League.

The 2017–18 Svenska Cupen was the 62nd season of the Svenska Cupen and the sixth season with the current format. The winners of the competition earned a place in the second qualifying round of the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League, unless they had already qualified for European competition in the 2018–19 season, in which case the qualification spot went to fourth-placed team of the 2017 Allsvenskan. A total of 96 clubs entered the competition.

The 2018–19 Svenska Cupen was the 63rd season of the Svenska Cupen and the seventh season with the current format. The 2023 season was IFK Göteborg's 118th in existence, their 91st season in Allsvenskan and their 47th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen. League play started on 2 April and ended on 12 November.

The 2023 season is IFK Norrköping's 83rd season in Allsvenskan and their 12th consecutive season in the league. They compete in Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen. League play started on April 2 and ended on November 12th.

The 2024 season is Malmö FF's 113th in existence, their 89th season in Allsvenskan and their 24th consecutive season in the league. They are competing in Allsvenskan, the 2023–24 Svenska Cupen, the 2024–25 Svenska Cupen, and the 2024–25 UEFA Champions League.

The 2024 IF Brommapojkarna season is the club's 82nd year in existence and their second consecutive season in the top flight. IF Brommapojkarna played their first match on 17 February.
