The 2025 Allsvenskan will be the 101th season since its establishment in 1924 of Sweden's top-level football league, Allsvenskan. The season will begin on March 2025 and end in November 2025 (not including play-off matches).
The league will consist of sixteen teams; the top fourteen sides from the previous season, and two teams promoted from the 2024 Superettan. The promoted teams were Degerfors IF and Östers IF, replacing the Allsvenskan relegated teams of Kalmar FF and Västerås SK. Malmö FF will enter the season as defending champions.

For the 2005 season, AIK Fotboll was relegated to the second flight Superettan, just six years after playing Barcelona, Arsenal and Fiorentina in the Champions League of 1999–2000. Following relegation, AIK changed coach to Rikard Norling, and after a shaky start, AIK soon were at the top of the table, promoted back into Allsvenskan, as arch rivals Djurgården won the national title.

Malmö FF were the defending champions after winning the title in the previous season, and they defended the championship in the 30th and final round on 4 December 2021 and secured their 22nd Swedish championship title by playing a scoreless tie at home against Halmstads BK, resulting in Malmö FF winning the title on better goal difference than the runner-up (AIK). This was the first time the title was defended since 2017, and the third consecutive defense of the title that went to Malmö FF, having also defended the title in 2014.
