"Something New" is a song recorded by South Korean singer Taeyeon. It was released on June 18, 2018, by SM Entertainment. It is the title track of Taeyeon's third EP with the same name Something New . [1] [2] The song marks Taeyeon's debut in the neo-soul genre of urban pop, showcasing her sophisticated and captivating vocal color, while the vivid sounds of various instruments, including the prominent bass with lyrics conveying a message urging individuals to seek their own uniqueness amidst the increasingly standardized daily lives of modern society.
