The Somewhere on a Beach Tour was the eleventh headlining concert tour by American country music artist Dierks Bentley, in support of his eighth studio album Black (2016). It began on April 21, 2016, in Dublin, Ireland and ended on October 29 of that year in Roanoke, Virginia. [1]
The tour was first announced in January 2016. Bentley will first play four shows in Europe then begin the North American leg of the tour. Select shows are a part of Live Nation's Country Megaticket and went on sale January 29, 2016. Dates for the second North American leg was announced in July 2016. [2]
Frederick Dierks Bentley is an American country music singer and songwriter. In 2003, he signed to Capitol Nashville and released his eponymous debut album. Both it and its follow-up, 2005's Modern Day Drifter, are certified Platinum in the United States, and his third album, 2006's Long Trip Alone, is certified Gold. It was followed in mid-2008 by a greatest hits package. His fourth album, Feel That Fire, was released in February 2009, and a bluegrass album, Up on the Ridge, was released on June 8, 2010. His sixth album, Home, followed in February 2012, as did a seventh one, Riser, in 2014. Bentley's eighth album, titled Black, was released in May 2016, and his ninth, The Mountain, was released in June 2018. His tenth studio album, Gravel & Gold, was released in February 2023.

The first leg of the tour began on July 10, 2014, in Fort Loramie, Ohio and ended on September 20, 2014, in Honolulu with there being thirty dates for that leg. Lambert kicked off the second leg called, the "Certified Platinum Tour" on January 15, 2015, in Evansville, Indiana. This leg will end on July 9, 2015, in Calgary, Alberta. The third leg called the "Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour" began on September 25, 2015, in Billings, Montana and ended on October 19, 2015. The tour ended on March 13, 2016. A son of songwriter Casey Beathard, Beathard was signed to Dot Records, a subsidiary of Big Machine Records in 2015 where he released his debut single titled "Rock On" and released an EP titled Fight Like Hell in 2016. Since then, Beathard has departed Big Machine, releasing his debut album titled Nobody's Everything independently on November 30, 2018, and later signed to Warner Music Nashville in early 2019.
