H.O.T. was a South Korean boy band that was created by SM Entertainment in 1996. They are considered to be the first K-pop idol group and their successful formula became the model for many K-pop groups that followed them. The group consisted of five members: Moon Hee-joon, Jang Woo-hyuk, Tony Ahn, Kangta, and Lee Jae-won.
An Chil-hyun, known professionally as Kangta, is a South Korean singer, composer, songwriter, record producer, actor and radio personality. He is well known as a member of boy band H.O.T. He has also been the creative director of SM Entertainment since 2005.

Several members are active as choreographers and vocal trainers for other SM Entertainment artists. In 2007, lead vocalist Jang Jin-young teamed up with Kim Sung-pil to form the R&B duo, ByJinSung.
Shinvi (Korean: 신비) was a South Korean girl group formed by Cid.K Entertainment, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment. The group is composed of Yoo Soo-jin, Oh Sang-eun and Yoo-na. The group only released debut album 15 to 30 in April 2002 and the members separated one year later to led the group disbanded.
M.I.L.K. was a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment's sister label, BM Entertainment, in 2001. The group debuted on December 17, 2001 with the full album With Freshness. In 2003, Bae Yu-mi departed from the group, which led to its disbandment. The members transitioned to solo acting careers.

Hong Sung-mi, known professionally as Dana, is a South Korean singer, musical actress and vocal coach. Dana first made her public appearance with acts on the boy group H.O.T's sci-fi movie Age of Peace in 2000. Dana later made her official debut as a solo singer, with released full-album DANA (2001) and Maybe (2003). Concurrently with her music career in 2002, Dana made her acting debut with cast in the third season of MBC sitcom Nonstop and also made her musical theatre debut with cast as Wendy in Peterpan.
2011 SM Town Winter – The Warmest Gift is the eighth winter album by SMTown, released on December 13, 2011 by SM Entertainment and distributed by KMP Holdings in South Korea. It is the first winter compilation album in four years and also their first album to have all songs sung entirely in English. This is also their only album to feature f(x) and J-Min, and is the last album to feature TRAX, The Grace's Dana and Sunday, Zhang Liyin, Girls' Generation's Jessica, SHINee's Jonghyun, and Super Junior-M's Henry.

I Am - SM Town Live World Tour in Madison Square Garden is a 2012 South Korean documentary film directed by Choi Jin-sung, that is about 32 SM Town K-pop artists on their journey to become the first Asian singers to stage their milestone SMTown Live '10 World Tour concert at Madison Square Garden in New York. The film was originally scheduled for release in South Korea on 10 May 2012, but was postponed to 21 June 2012, due to audio issues.

Misfit has penned the lyrics of songs for various SM Town artists including BoA, TRAX, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, Shinee, f(x), Red Velvet and Exo as well as Jellyfish Entertainment's VIXX.
Jin Bo-ra, known professionally as Sunday, is a South Korean singer and musical actress. She debuted in 2004 as a soloist in Japan with the release of two digital singles before eventually joined as a member of South Korean girl group The Grace in 2005. As of 2010, the group's activities was halted and she maintain her career as a musical actress.
Kim Jong-dae, better known by his stage name, Chen (Korean: 첸), is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He is a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo, its subgroup Exo-M and its subunit Exo-CBX, and participated in SM's projects SM the Ballad. He is predominantly known for his role as the vocalist of Exo. Apart from his group's activities, Chen has also recorded songs for various television dramas, most notably "Best Luck" for It's Okay, That's Love (2014) and "Everytime" for Descendants of the Sun (2016).

2021 Winter SM Town: SMCU Express is the ninth winter album by SM Town. The studio album was released by SM Entertainment on December 27, 2021, and is available in 13 different versions. It features 10 songs, including two singles off the album, "Dreams Come True" and "Hope from Kwangya". The album marks the first SM Town's special season album release in 10 years after the predecessor 2011 Winter SMTOWN: The Warmest Gift, which was released in December 2011. It is also the first album to feature Kai, Red Velvet, NCT, and Aespa.
2022 Winter SM Town: SMCU Palace is the tenth winter album by SM Town. It was released by SM Entertainment on December 26, 2022. The album contains ten tracks that saw various collaborations of the label's artists, with two singles have been released to support the album; "Beautiful Christmas" was released as the album's lead single on December 14, 2022, and "The Cure", released as the second single on January 1, 2023, during the annual online free concert SM Town Live 2023: SMCU Palace at Kwangya.
