Sreekumar Krishnan Nair (born 17 June 1962), often credited on screen as K. Sreekuttan) is an Indian filmmaker, best known for directing the 1993 film O' Faby , which was India's first full-length live action/animation hybrid feature film. [1] [2] [3] He is the youngest son of prolific south Indian filmmaker M. Krishnan Nair and younger brother of Retired Indian Administrative Service officer, poet and lyricist K. Jayakumar. [4] [5]
Prior to making films as a director, Sreekumar served as an A.D. (First Assistant Director, Second-Unit Director and Chief Associate Director) under prominent South Indian filmmaker, Hariharan, who in turn served as an assistant of his father. His stint with director Hariharan was more than a decade long, working on seventeen films together, among which eight were scripted by 'Padma Bhushan' awardee and Jnanpith laureate M. T. Vasudevan Nair, one of the greatest scenarists in Indian film history. He was the Chief Associate Director of the Indian classic Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha . He has also directed several television commercials and documentaries. [6]
He was commissioned to direct the epic historical film Marthanda Varma in 2011, filmed simultaneously in English and Malayalam (spoken in the Indian state of Kerala and the surrounding area). [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] The project eventually got shelved. He subsequently served as the strategy director of Tecgemini. [12] [13]

Malayalam cinema is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Malayalam language, which is widely spoken in the state of Kerala. Malayalam cinema includes the commercial film industry, sometimes known as Mollywood, as well as independent cinema made in Malayalam.
Malabar Gopalan Nair Sreekumar, better known as M. G. Sreekumar is an Indian playback singer, composer, music producer, television presenter and film producer, who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He has sung more than 25000 songs in various Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Sanskrit. He owns a music company named KMG Musics and the Saregama School of Music in Thiruvananthapuram. Sreekumar has won several awards, including two National Film Awards, three Kerala State Film Awards and 5 Filmfare Awards South. He was also honoured with the Harivarasanam Award by the Government of Kerala in 2016. His career as a singer spans over 44 years.
Hariharan is an Indian film director who has directed over 50 Malayalam films. His movies mainly revolve around the cultural and relational aspects of a typical Keralite society. His most notable works include Sharapancharam (1979), Panchagni (1986), Idavazhiyile Poocha Mindappoocha (1979), Amrutham Gamaya (1987), Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha (1989), Sargam (1992), Parinayam (1994) and Pazhassi Raja (2009) which has won him wide critical acclaim. In 2019, he was awarded the J. C. Daniel Award, Kerala government's highest honour for contributions to Malayalam cinema.
M. Krishnan Nair was an Indian oncologist. He was the founding director of the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, a director of the S.U.T. Institute of Oncology, and Trivandrum Cancer Center(TCC), part of SUT Royal Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) and a professor at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in Kochi. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian award of the Padma Shri in 2001 for his contributions in the cancer care field.

Star Singer is an Indian music reality television competition, broadcast on Asianet and the show, which selected contestants in the age group of 15–35 years compete based on their skill in singing and entertainment. From season 1 to 7, text messages were sent by the shows' audience to vote for the best-performing participant and a small weightage of this score was considered for a candidate to be shortlisted to next round. In Season 8, voting was conducted on Disney+ Hotstar, Star Network's official OTT platform. From Season 9, judges' decisions were made final and voting was cancelled, but marks can be entered on Disney+ Hotstar and these have small consideration. The show also features a panel of judges who are prominent personalities in the Malayalam music industry who offer scores and evaluations of performance to the contestants in every stage of the competition. Taking place between 1727 and 1732, the story follows three protagonists as they try to protect Marthanda Varma's position as the king of Venad from Padmanabhan Thambi and the Ettu Veetil Pillamar, both of whom want to oust him from the throne.

M. Krishnan Nair was an Indian film director of Malayalam films. He directed over 100 films. He also directed 18 Tamil movie including four films starring M. G. Ramachandran and two Telugu movies, one each with superstars N. T. Rama Rao and Krishna Eminent filmmakers including Hariharan, K. Madhu, S. P. Muthuraman, Bharathiraja and Joshiy apprenticed under him as assistant directors.

Manas Bihari Verma was an Indian aeronautical scientist instrumental in the development of the light combat aircraft, Tejas. In 2018, he was conferred the Padma Sri civilian honour by the President of India. After his retirement he launched Mobile Science Lab aimed at promoting science education in Bihar.
