The first season of Sri Lankan talent show competition series Sri Lanka's Got Talent was broadcast on Sirasa TV from 3 March to 30 September 2018. The judge board included Jackson Anthony, Soundarie David Rodrigo and Tillakaratne Dilshan with Lahiru Perera, Dilhani Ekanayake, Bathiya Jayakody and Pubudu Chathuranga serving as the guest judges for each semifinal respectively.
The season was won by the Angampora Pool of the Sri Lanka Air Force, with the fast mental arithmetic act Nimna Hiranya coming in second and the fire dance act Nipuni Sithara placing third.
The preliminary rounds took place at 3 locations in 2017, 30 October - 1 November at E. L. Senanayake premises, Kandy, 11 - 12 November at Mahinda College, Galle and 24 - 26 November at Stein Studios, Colombo. The rest of the season was also held at Stein Studios. The season premiered on 18 March 2018 at 9 p.m in Sirasa TV. Quarterfinals were held from 17 June 2018. Lahiru Perera, Dilhani Ekanayake, Bathiya Jayakody from the music duo Bathiya and Santhush and Pubudu Chathuranga were the 4 guest judges in the semifinals respectively. The Pre Finale was held on 9 and 16 September 2018. The Grand Finale was held on 30 September 2018. [1]

Sirasa Superstar was a musical reality show conducted in Sri Lanka by the TV channel Sirasa TV. The first four seasons were inspired by the program called American Idol an American singing competition series, the fifth and sixth seasons are similar to The Voice. The seventh season was finished on 9 July 2016. The show has been succeeded by The Voice Sri Lanka from 2020 onwards.

Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) is a Philippine reality talent competition show on ABS-CBN that began on February 20, 2010, replacing The Singing Bee & Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up and replaced by Twist and Shout on July 3, 2010. It is based on the Got Talent franchise, a British TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's SYCO company. "Pilipinas" is the Filipino word for Philippines. Anyone can join and showcase their talents in the audition. At the sound of four buzzers from the judges, the auditionees are asked to stop their act. With at least three approval votes from the judges, they are automatically in the list for Judges Cuts, where judges have to pick only 36 acts that will move to the semi-finals. Acts will compete against each other in order to gain the audience support to win the prize money and the title of Pilipinas Got Talent.
Pravegaya is a 2015 Sri Lankan Sinhala action thriller film directed by Donald Jayantha and produced by Sadesh Kumar. It stars Hemal Ranasinghe and Udari Perera with Jayalath Manoratne, Pubudu Chathuranga and Jackson Anthony in supporting roles. Music for the film was written by Bathiya and Santhush. It is the 1,228th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. The film is a remake of the 2007 film Polladhavan.
X Factor Indonesia is an Indonesian television music competition to find new singing talent; the winner of which receives a 1 billion rupiahs recording contract with Sony Music Indonesia. The second season aired on 3 April 2015 and is produced by RCTI in-house production and Fremantle Media Indonesia led by Fabian Dharmawan, RCTI's head of production, together with FM's SVP content and production, Glenn Sims. Samarawickrema for Sadheera Films. It stars Sanath Wimalasiri and Dilhani Ekanayake in lead roles along with Tony Ranasinghe and Rex Kodippili. Music composed by Premasiri Khemadasa. It is the 1015th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. The film has been shot in and around Colombo.
Deweni Inima is a 2017 Sinhalese Sri Lankan television prime-time soap opera which premiered on 6 February 2017 on TV Derana. The series is directed by Saranga Mendis, produced by Chamika Mendis and written by Saman Edirimunee. It airs every weekday from 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The first season was aired from 6 February 2017 to 6 October 2023. The second season premiered on 9 October 2023.

The 2020–21 Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament was a List A cricket competition that took place in Sri Lanka. It ran from 24 March to 11 April 2021, with twenty-six teams taking part. Chilaw Marians Cricket Club were the defending champions, winning the 2019–20 Invitation Limited Over Tournament.
Umaria Binthy Ayesha Sinhawansa, popularly referred to by the mononym Umaria, is a Sri Lankan pop, R&B and jazz singer. She is the youngest musician to be ever awarded A-Grade by Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation. She has won the 'Kala Keerthi Abhimani' award for her contribution to Sri Lanka's music industry. Umaria began her music career at age 11 in the 2005, performing with her sister at various stages. She made her debut as a playback singer in the film Asai Man Piyabanna. And also she has won silver awards at Pan Asia Music International Music Competition and the Crimea Music Fest international competition.
