Stickets is a 2013 tile-matching game developed and published by the Australian indie studio Wanderlands and released on May 30, 2013, for iOS. The game had won the Freeplay Independent Games Festival for Best Australian Game.

Gameplay

In Stickets, the player inserts L-shaped three-piece tetrominos in four different orientations on a 5×5 board. Each piece has one yellow, blue, and red block. Grouping three or more of the same colored blocks together makes them disappear, freeing up space. A game over is triggered when the player runs out of space. The game has three separate themes.

Reception

Stickets has a "generally favorable" rating on Metacritic based on nine critics. [1] The game was included in CNET's best mobile games of the year. [10]

<i>Edge</i> (video game) 2008 video game

Edge is a puzzle-platform game developed by Mobigame for PC and iOS devices. The objective is to guide a rolling cube through maze-like levels and reach the goal. Originally released on the App Store in December 2008, it has been removed and re-added to the store multiple times due to a trademark dispute with Tim Langdell of Edge Games, concerning the use of the word "Edge" in the title. This had caused the game to be briefly released as Edge by Mobigame and Edgy, before ultimately returning to the App Store under its original name in January 2010. Praised for its experimental approach to perception and space, the game won the Freeplay Award at the 2018 Freeplay Independent Games Festival, and was showcased in several art and festival exhibits including by the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.
