Sugarloaf Senior High School [5] is an English high school, with French immersion, located in Campbellton, New Brunswick, Canada. Its name comes from the nearby Sugarloaf mountain, a local landmark adjacent to the provincial park of the same name.
There are approximately 500 students enrolled at Sugarloaf Senior High School and graduating classes are usually in the 70-100 range. Classes are taught for grades 9 through 12.
Operating under the name "Bruins," Sugarloaf Senior High has seen great success in provincial high school sport competition. Most notably, its boys basketball teams have done extremely well in the past, and to date have earned the most championships of any AA ranked school. The Varsity boys soccer team won the provincial championships in the fall 2001 season. Also, the Boys JV basketball team won the NBIAA Provincial tournament in 2007. In 2010, The Senior Boys "AA" Basketball captured the NBIAA "AA" banner in the 1984–1985, 1985–1986, and 2009 - 2010 seasons.
Students gather at the end of every school year, and participate in a vote regarding the elected positions of the Student Council Executive. Willing candidates follow the proper nomination sequence, required to have an average of 75% or more, then follow a week-long campaign progress, where they gather support from the student body. Grade Level & Class Representatives are elected at the beginning of the school year. The roles of the Student Council Executive and Grade Representatives include: being the voices of the students, organizing school related activities, raising school morale, maintaining moral fiber, and make sure the school year is one that students and staff will enjoy and benefit from.

Souhegan Cooperative High School is a Coalition of Essential Schools high school located in Amherst, New Hampshire, in the United States. Students from Amherst and Mont Vernon attend Souhegan for 9th through 12th grades. There are about 750 students. The school was founded based on the work of Theodore R. Sizer, a former dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a notable American education reform leader and the father of the Essential Schools movement. Notably, Souhegan's progressive reputation has been chronicled in the book Standards of Mind and Heart: Creating the Good High School by Tony Wagner, Peggy Silvia and Dr. Robert A. Mackin. Based on this history, the school was founded with the mission "Souhegan High School aspires to be a community of learners born of respect, trust and courage." The school name is derived from its proximity to the Souhegan River, which adjoins the school property. The word Souhegan comes from the Algonquin language, meaning "waiting and watching place".

Abbey Park High School was opened at its present location in the wake of the closure of Queen Elizabeth Park High School, which was previously operating at its Bridge Road location, in Bronte. Abbey Park has more resources available to its students than other schools in the region because it inherited Queen Elizabeth Park's resources when it was closed. This allowed for the initial opening budget to be spent on new equipment. Students have open access to a weight room, home economics kitchen, library, and track. Abbey Park High School is also situated beside the Glen Abbey Community Centre, which houses the Glen Abbey branch of the Oakville Public Library.
École L'Odyssée is a public francophone high school in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. It is part of the province's Francophone Sud School District, offering education to students from grade nine to twelve. The school opened on September 30, 2005 as part of a $24.2 million project, alongside the adjoining middle school, École Le Mascaret. École L'Odyssée was conceived as a way to alleviate the overcrowding problem at École Mathieu-Martin in nearby Dieppe, a problem the district has had in the past. The Odyssée-Mascaret project, as well as the future Carrefour de l'Acadie middle school, replaced the former École Beauséjour and École Vanier complexes. This move allowed the Moncton Hospital to expand, while the Vanier establishment made way for medical offices. On September 9, 2009, the school was given permission to begin an $884,000 expansion for its far side, allowing for a larger space to be reserved for its infirmary and orientation center.
