Chickenfoot concert chronology

The Chickenfoot Summer Tour 2009 (also known as the Summer Tour 2009) was a worldwide concert tour by the American supergroup Chickenfoot featuring guitarist Joe Satriani, former Van Halen members singer Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony as well as Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. The tour took place to promote their debut studio album Chickenfoot , released in 2009. The Rock band played a series of concerts in both North America and Europe spanning from June until December 2009. It followed the sell-out Road Test Tour which took place in spring of 2009.

Background

Before going on an international world tour in 2009, the band organized a series of shows in the United States to seak critical acclaim and reaction of their fans. These nine dates which took place in the spring of 2009 were titled as the Chickenfoot Road Test Tour 2009. [1] As the tour was quickly sold out, the band shared in a press release on April 21, 2009: "The band was blown away by your response and can't wait to take the show on the road. Chickenfoot will be back […]". [2] On June 5, 2009, Chickenfoot promoted both the upcoming album as well as the summer tour on the program Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien . [3]

On November 6, 2009, the band promoted their final concerts on the show Jimmy Kimmel Live! . [4] Ultimately, the Chickenfoot Summer Tour 2009 was announced on June 3, 2009. [5] The tour started with a total of 14 planned shows in Europe before the tour would be concluded in North America with two shows in Canada, 31 shows in the United States as well as one show in Mexico. In Europe, the band played in Austria, Ireland, England, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, France, Sweden and Switzerland. However, some of the shows were cancelled (see notes).

Smith is also the drummer of the hard rock supergroup Chickenfoot, formed in 2008, and of the all-instrumental outfit Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats, formed in 2007. He worked with the Chicks on Taking the Long Way, an album that won five Grammy Awards in 2007.

The tour, which kicked off on May 17, 2008 in Columbus, Ohio at the Rock on the Range festival, ran throughout the summer and ended on October 31 at the Verizon Wireless Center in Pelham, Alabama. The Stone Temple Pilots reunion tour was a success, receiving positive reviews from critics and fans alike as well as high ticket sales. At one point, the Stone Temple Pilots tour was ranked at #1 on Pollstar's "Top 50" list. According to Rolling Stone, the band sold an average of $230,000 of tickets a night.

Chickenfoot is an American hard rock supergroup formed in 2008. The group consists of vocalist Sammy Hagar, bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Joe Satriani, and drummer Chad Smith. Due to Smith's consistent recording and touring commitments with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kenny Aronoff joined the group in 2011 as a touring replacement drummer. While the band has not formally announced a breakup, in June 2016 Smith said that he had doubts about its survival due to their busy schedules.

The Warp Riders Tour is a 2010–2011 worldwide concert tour by American heavy metal band the Sword. Beginning on October 1, 2010 in the United States, the tour is in promotion of the band's upcoming 2010 third album Warp Riders, released on August 24, 2010. Following the United States leg of the tour, the band joined Soundwave, a travelling music festival, in Australia in 2011. They will then perform an additional 12 shows in Europe. Prior to the tour, the band supported Metallica on their continuing World Magnetic Tour in September, and during the tour they also performed at the Austin City Limits Festival, between October 8 and October 10.

The European Carnage Tour was a European tour headlined by American thrash metal bands Slayer and Megadeth. This tour marked the first time that both bands had toured Europe together since the Clash of the Titans Tour in 1990 when support was provided by Testament and Suicidal Tendencies. The I'm with You World Tour was a worldwide concert tour by American rock band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers in support of the band's tenth studio album, I'm with You. It marked the band's first tour in four years and first with guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who replaced John Frusciante in 2009. The band was also joined for the first time by backing musicians Mauro Refosco (percussion) and Chris Warren (keyboards). The first North American leg of the tour was briefly postponed due to a leg injury sustained by singer Anthony Kiedis which required surgery. Klinghoffer also broke his foot during the tour; however, no dates were cancelled due to his injury. During the tour the band saw a few milestones come and go such as their own 30th anniversary since forming in 1983 and the 10th, 20th and 25th anniversaries of their albums, By the Way, Blood Sugar Sex Magik and The Uplift Mofo Party Plan. Despite these milestones, the band made little to no mention of them and no special performances were given on their behalf. The band was also named 2012 inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while on tour.

Face to Face 2009 was a 2009 concert tour by Elton John and Billy Joel, their first concert tour together in 7 years since Face to Face 2003. The tour originally consisted of four legs throughout the year. The last leg, in fall 2009, was cancelled due to an E. coli infection that John had picked up.

Glass Cloud was an American metalcore band from Hampton, Virginia formed by Jerry Roush, Joshua Travis, Travis Sykes, and Chad Hasty in late 2011. The band released their debut album, The Royal Thousand on July 10, 2012 via Equal Vision Records in the United States and Basick Records in the United Kingdom. Lead vocalist Roush was formerly the vocalist of Sky Eats Airplane and Of Mice & Men, while Joshua Travis was the guitarist for The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza until 2012. Perfect War Forever EP was released October 22, 2013 via Equal Vision Records.

The Battle Born World Tour is the fourth major concert tour by American rock band The Killers, in support of their fourth studio album Battle Born, which was released in September 2012. The tour included the band's biggest show to date at Wembley Stadium. It also saw them visit new territories including Russia, Ukraine, China and South East Asia. The tour was the 43rd highest grossing worldwide during 2013.

The Getaway World Tour was a concert tour by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers that was in support of their eleventh studio album, The Getaway which was released on June 17, 2016. It marked the first time since June 2014 that the band has toured. The tour began with benefit shows and North American festival dates in February 2016 followed by a summer festival tour with dates in Europe, Asia and North America starting in May 2016 and ending in August 2016. The headlining tour to support the album began in Europe in September 2016 and lasted until the end of the year with the North American tour beginning in January 2017 and concluded in July 2017. Another European leg and dates in South America followed along with rescheduled shows and festival dates in North America in October 2017 to wrap up the tour. The band had festival dates in March 2018 for South America but they were not considered part of this tour. It was also the band's last tour with their guitarist Josh Klinghoffer before his departure from the band in late December 2019, as their previous guitarist John Frusciante rejoined the group at that time.

The Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band 2023–2025 Tour is an ongoing concert tour by American singer Bruce Springsteen and his backing band the E Street Band. The tour began on February 1, 2023, in Tampa, Florida; it marks the first time since 2017 that Springsteen and the E Street Band have toured together. The tour is scheduled to conclude on July 3, 2025, in Milan. Due to band member illnesses and Springsteen suffering his own health issues, twenty-four dates of the tour were postponed and were rescheduled for 2024. Four dates in May and June 2024 were also postponed due to vocal issues suffered by Springsteen.
