Super Smash Land is a fan-made demake of Super Smash Bros. released on September 14, 2011, [1] by Dan Fornace. The game features six playable characters and 11 stages. [2] [3] The game's visual design resembles the graphics for the Game Boy and was developed with GameMaker 7. [4]
Super Smash Land is a platform fighter with gameplay is similar to Super Smash Bros. . Up to four players each choose one of the six playable characters, including Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, Vaporeon and Mega Man. The objective is battling other characters and knocking them off the stage to win. Instead of knocking each other's health bar like in traditional fighting games, Super Smash Land has players to knock each other's percentage. The higher percent the player receives, the higher the chance of getting knocked out and losing a point. There is a lot of unlockable content in the game, including characters, stages, and game modes.
The game is controlled using the keyboard. [5] There are "Arcade", "Endless", and "Versus" game modes [6] where players can battle each other or fight hordes of AI enemies. [7] There are 11 total stages including a stage from the game Tower of Heaven .
Rock, Paper, Shotgun's Adam Smith, in his write-up of the game, called it "a fantastic homage" and a "fun game in its own right". [8] JoyCon Gamers scored the game 9.0 recommending the game and calling it a trip down memory lane. [6] Retro Gamer CD score the game 4 out of 5 on their review calling the game with "well made graphics" and entertaining gameplay. [9] FleshEatingZipper's Keith gave the game an 8/10 stating that the game is old school and nostalgic. [10]
Rivals of Aether is a spiritual successor of Super Smash Land, created by the same developer. It features many of the elements of Super Smash Bros. , including the advanced competitive techniques seen in Super Smash Bros. Melee . [11] [12]

Aether is a video game designed by Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel and published by Armor Games, released on September 3, 2008. Players control a lonely boy and an octopus-like monster that the boy encounters, solving puzzles on different planets to restore them from monochrome to color. The pair travel through space by swinging on clouds and asteroids with the monster's elongated tongue, searching other planets for life to which the boy can relate. It is also a part of The Basement Collection.

Indie Pogo is an indie crossover fighting video game developed and published by Lowe Bros. Studios. The game features characters and settings from more than 50 different indie games, such as Shovel Knight, VVVVVV, Teslagrad, the Bit.Trip series, and Freedom Planet. After being successfully funded via Kickstarter in October 2017, the game was released on Microsoft Windows in July 2018. A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development.
The Piranha Plant, known as Pakkun Flower in Japan, is a fictional plant species from Nintendo's Mario franchise media. It usually appears as a leafy green stalk topped with a white-spotted red or green globe, with a maw lined with sharp teeth reminiscent of piranhas. Piranha Plants are typically portrayed as tethered enemies which emerge from green-coloured "warp pipes" scattered throughout the game world that player characters must evade or overcome, though multiple subspecies with different abilities as well as physical attributes have appeared in various titles: some may simply stick up from the ground, and in some cases even walk freely on its own roots.

The game is additionally planned to release on Nintendo Switch once the early access period is complete. The game's character roster is composed of crossover characters from other indie games, including Octodad (2010), Downwell (2015), Rivals of Aether (2017), Slay the Spire (2019), Slap City (2020), and the Bit.Trip series (2009-2018).
