Suresh Chavhanke is a far-right Hindutva journalist who is the current chairman, managing director (CMD) and the editor-in-chief of Sudarshan News (Sudarshan TV Channel Limited). [2] He is the anchor of TV show bindas Bol. [1]

Early life and career

Suresh Chavhanke is a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh since the age of 3 years when he started attending its ceremonies. [3] As a member of RSS, he had worked as a reporter of pro-RSS newspaper Tarun Bharat . He held several posts in RSS before becoming a full-time reporter. He launched Sudarshan News channel in 2005 in Pune and later shifted it to Noida. [3] He is currently the chairman, managing director and editor-in-chief of Sudarshan news. He hosts the show Bindas Bol. [1]

The Ajmer Dargah bombing occurred on 11 October 2007, in the courtyard of Sufi maulana Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India, after the Iftar period had started. On 22 March 2017 a Special NIA Court convicted three Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh pracharaks Devendra Gupta, Bhavesh Patel and Sunil Joshi. Sunil Joshi and Devendra Gupta were found guilty on charges of conspiracy and Bhavesh Bhai Patel was found guilty of planting the explosive on the blast site. Gupta and Patel were awarded life imprisonment. Sunil Joshi had been found shot dead in mysterious circumstances soon after the blast in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh.

On 14 September 2020, a 19-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, India, by four men. She died two weeks later in a Delhi hospital.

Godi media is a term coined and popularised by veteran journalist Ravish Kumar for the "sensationalist and biased Indian print and TV news media, which supports the ruling BJP led NDA government ". The term is a pun on the name of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has become a common way to refer to television and other media that are perceived as "mouthpieces" of the leading party of the NDA, the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Maridhas Malaichamy, known by his YouTube channel Maridhas Answers, is a right-wing YouTuber and social media influencer from Madurai, Tamil Nadu. He promotes the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) through his social media posts.

In December 2021, a dharma sansad of Hindu ascetics was held at Haridwar in Uttarakhand, India, where hate speeches were delivered in which the speakers called for a genocide against Muslims in the name of protecting Hinduism. The government's apathy in the face of the hate event has been condemned by a wide cross section of Indian society, including retired military leaders, civil society activists, students, academics, and retired judges.
