Susan Partridge (born 4 January 1980) is a British long-distance runner who competes in marathon races. Her personal best for the distance is 2:30:46 hours. She has represented Britain in the marathon at the European Athletics Championships and the World Championships in Athletics, as well as competing for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games.
Raised in Oban in Scotland, [1] she made her first international outings for Great Britain in cross country running, placing 32nd in the junior race at the 1998 European Cross Country Championships, then 89th in the junior section of the 1999 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. [2] She is a two-time Scottish national cross country champion, having won in 2003 and 2008. [3]
In April 2004 she made her marathon debut at the London Marathon and came in 20th place with a time of 2:41:44 hours. She also came fourth at the Rotterdam Half Marathon that year. The following year she started with a win at the Bath Half Marathon then returned to the London Marathon to improve her time to 2:37:50 hours for 15th. [4] She was selected for the 2005 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships and was 25th, helping the British women to fifth in the team rankings. [5] In 2006, she finished as runner-up at the Barcelona Half Marathon before going on to make her international debut for Scotland at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, where she came tenth. Her second major outing of the year came at the inaugural 2006 IAAF World Road Running Championships over 20 km and she took 27th place. [6]
Partridge focused on road races in the 2007 season and highlights included a fifth-place finish at the Great Scottish Run, sixth at the Great North Run and sixth at the Dublin Marathon. Her performances declined over 2008 and 2009 but she marked a return to form at the 2009 Birmingham Half Marathon in October, which she won in a course record time of 72:50 minutes. She won the 2010 Reading Half Marathon and ran a personal best of 2:35:57 hours for 17th at the 2010 London Marathon. After wins at the Mansfield Half Marathon and Great North 10K, she represented Britain at the 2010 European Championships Marathon, taking 16th place and winning the team bronze medal in the European Marathon Cup. Later that year she had her second career win at the Birmingham Half Marathon. [4]
At the 2011 London Marathon she improved her personal best to 2:34:13 hours. [3] This gained her a place on the British team for the 2011 World Championships Marathon and she was the first Briton home in 24th place after 2:35:57 hours. [7] She managed third place at the end of year San Silvestre Vallecana in Spain, being the first European to finish. [8]
Gelete Burka Bati is an Ethiopian middle-distance and long-distance runner. She was born in Kofele in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region, the same district as double Olympic champion Haile Gebrselassie.
José Manuel ("Chema") Martínez Fernández is a Spanish long-distance runner. He is married to Spanish field hockey player Nuria Moreno.
Jeļena Prokopčuka is a retired Latvian long-distance runner, best known for winning the New York City Marathon in 2005 and 2006.
Kayoko Fukushi is a Japanese long-distance runner, who specializes in the 5000, 10,000 metres and marathon. Fukushi represented Japan at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She was the bronze medallist in the marathon at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics. She holds a marathon best of 2:22:17 hours.
Eyerusalem Kuma is an Ethiopian long-distance runner, who competes in marathons. She has a personal best of 2:24:55 hours for the distance and was the 2009 winner of the Amsterdam Marathon.

Anna Carmela Incerti is an Italian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon. She has represented Italy in the marathon at European, World and Olympic-level. She won the bronze in the event at the 2010 European Championships, later upgraded to silver and then to gold.
Ana Dulce Ferreira FélixComM is a Portuguese long distance runner who competes in track, cross country, and road running events. She ran the Olympic marathon in 2012 and 2016 and placed 21st and 16th, respectively.
Ayad Lamdassem El Mouhcine is a long distance runner. Born in Morocco, he competes for Spain internationally. He has represented Spain twice in the 10,000 metres at the Summer Olympics as well as the European Athletics Championships.

She represented her country in the event at the 2008 Summer Olympics and at the World Championships in Athletics the following year and then at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the World Championships following that.
Anne Rochelle Steely Ramirez, née Anne Rochelle Steely, is a former long-distance runner who competed internationally for the United States. She specialized in the 3,000 meters on the track and later competed in road running events.

She has appeared at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships on three occasions and ran in the marathon for Italy at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Silvana Cruciata is a former Italian middle- and long-distance runner. She represented Italy at the 1976 Montreal Olympics and shared medals with the Italian women's teams at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. Her best of 18.084 km for the one hour run set in 1981 was a world record for over seventeen years.

Beatrice Omwanza is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in marathon and half marathon races. She represented Kenya in the marathon at the World Championships in Athletics in 2003 and 2005. Her personal best for the event is 2:27:19 hours.
Belaynesh Oljira Jemama is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes mainly in 10K and half marathon races. She represented her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics, the 2013 World Championships and the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 2011 and 2013.

Since her marathon debut in 2001, she has won international races in Dubai, Nagano, Singapore and Nagoya. She has also had top four finishes at the Chicago, London and Honolulu Marathons.
Netsanet Gudeta Kebede is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes in road running and cross country running events. She was the bronze medallist at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 2015. She shared in the team title at that competition and also won team silver at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in 2014. Her best for the half marathon is 66:11 minutes.
