Sushil Kumar Jain known professionally as Sushil Doshi is an Indian journalist, writer, sports commentator [1] and the first cricket commentator in Hindi. [2] [3] Born to Niranjanlal and Madan Kunwar at Indore, in the second largest Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, he graduated in engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) Indore [4] and started his commentating career in 1968 at the Nehru Stadium for a Ranji Trophy match between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. [2] Over the years, he is reported to have covered nine Cricket World Cups, 85 test matches and over 400 One Day Internationals, besides several Twenty20 Internationals. [5] His contributions are reported in making cricket commentary in Hindi popular. [6] [7] He has also written two books in Hindi on sports, Khel Patrakarita published in 2003 [8] and Cricket Ka Mahabharat, published in 2016. [9]

Awards and recognitions

The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2016, for his contributions to sports. [10] The commentators' box at Holkar Stadium, Indore has been named Sushil Doshi Commentators' Box in his honor. [11]

Ahilyabai Holkar was the hereditary noble sardar of the Maratha Empire, India. Ahilya was born in the village of Chondi in Jamkhed, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. She moved the seat of her kingdom to Maheshwar, south of Indore on the Narmada River.

Holkar Stadium Cricket stadium

Holkar Cricket Stadium is located in Indore, India. It was earlier known as Maharani Usharaje Trust Cricket Ground. But in 2010, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association renamed it after the Holkar dynasty of the Marathas that ruled Indore State. Indore city has another International Cricket stadium "Nehru Stadium" which was used for International matches until 31 March 2001.

He played cricket at the collegiate level, representing Indore University and Christian College, Indore as a middle order batsman. So far he has authored 12 books on the subject, all in Hindi.

Syed Mushtaq Ali Indian cricketer

Syed Mushtaq Alipronunciation  was an Indian cricketer, a right-handed opening batsman who holds the distinction of scoring the first overseas Test century by an Indian player when he scored 112 against England at Old Trafford in 1936. He batted right-handed but was a slow left arm orthodox spin bowler. He bowled frequently enough in domestic matches to be classified as an all-rounder but only occasionally in test matches. Mushtaq Ali was noted for his graceful batting style and a flair which often cost him his wicket by being over-adventurous too soon in an innings.

Madhya Pradesh High Court Bench at Indore is a permanent bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court in Indore. Hon’ble the Chief Justice, vide order dated 1 November 1956 constituted temporary benches of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Indore and Gwalior. Ravi Chaturvedi is an Indian sports commentator and author of twenty seven books on cricket, including World Cup Cricket: A Compendium, known to be first Indian sports commentator in Hindi. He was honored by the Government of India, in 2012, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri.. Matu Shri and Khel Samrat awards for best Hindi commentator and as educationist offered membership by India International Intellectual Society. He has been on Board of Directors, Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA), member, Bombay Natural History Society and on the advisory committee of The National Zoology Park.  

Yeshwant Club

The Yeshwant Club in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, came into existence in 1934 at the behest of Maharaja Sir Tukoji Rao III Holkar of Indore. The club was established out of affection for his son, Yuvraj Yeshwant Rao Holkar. Spread over an expanse of 14 acres, it is one of the living signatures of the rich legacy of the Holkar rulers of Indore State of the Maratha Confederacy. Initially the club was opened for royalty, nobility, aristocracy, and the officers of the Holkar State. Later, its doors were opened for business elites. After Indian independence, admission criteria were revised.

Sanjay Jagdale MPCA Academy located in Holkar Stadium, Indore. The academy was named after Sanjay Jagdale. Academy was established in 2008 is a cricket facility of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association for training young cricketers who are identified as having the potential to represent the Madhya Pradesh cricket team. The academy provides regular cricket coaching, specific nutrition, health check up, fitness management, and purposeful recreation along with the education to the potentially talented young cricketers. The academy has sub-academies in Gwalior, Sagar, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Rewa and Jabalpur.

Riya Deepsi is an Indian film and television actress and model. She debuted in 2013 with the television series Mahabharat. In 2018, she made her Hindi film debut with Bhaagte Raho.

Akshay Kumar Jain (1915–1993) was an Indian independence activist, writer, journalist and the editor of Navbharat Times, a Hindi language daily owned by The Times Group. He was one of the founders of the National Union of Journalists (India) and held the chair of its reception committee when the organization was formed in 1972.
