Suwon Samsung Bluewings is a South Korean professional football club based in Suwon, South Korea, who currently play in the K League Classic. Suwon Samsung Bluewings' first participation in Asian competition was during the 1999 season, when they competed in the Asian Club Championship, their first match was against PSIS Semarang of Indonesia.

The 2009 Pan-Pacific Championship was the second edition of the Pan-Pacific Championship. It was held in February 2009 in Carson, California, United States and featured the champions from the Chinese Super League and K-League, J. League Cup winners, and the hosts, Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer.

The 2002 Asian Super Cup was the 8th Asian Super Cup, a football match played between the winners of the previous season's Asian Club Championship and Asian Cup Winners Cup competitions. The 2002 competition was contested by Suwon Samsung Bluewings of South Korea, who won the Asian Club Championship 2001-02, and Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, the winners of the Asian Cup Winners Cup 2002.

The K League All-Star Game is an annual exhibition match organised by the K League. Inaugural match was held in 1991.

The 2004 K League Championship was the eighth competition of the K League Championship, and was held to decide the 22nd champions of the K League. After the regular season was finished, the first stage winners, the second stage winners, and the top two clubs in the overall table qualified for the championship. Each semi-final was played as a single match, and the final consisted of two matches.

2011 Korean League Cup football tournament season

The 2011 Korean League Cup, known as the Rush & Cash Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the 19th and final season of League Cup competition for K League's 16 football clubs. The competition began on 16 March 2011, and ended with the one-legged final on 13 July 2011.

The Super Match is a name for a football rivalry between two South Korean football teams from the Seoul Capital Area, FC Seoul and Suwon Samsung Bluewings. The match and the rivalry between the two teams is regarded as the biggest in South Korean K League.

Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma–Suwon Samsung Bluewings football rivalry was called Magyedaejeon or Magye derby. K League stated in its official website that this match is one of classic football rivalries in the league. The match takes place between the two professional K League Classic teams in Seoul National Capital Area; Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma and Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

The 2008 K League Championship was the twelfth competition of the K League Championship, and was held to decide the 26th champions of the K League. The top six clubs of the regular season qualified for the championship. The winners of the regular season directly qualified for the final, and second place team qualified for the semi-final. The other four clubs entered the first round, and the winners of the second round advanced to the semi-final. Each match was played as a single match, excluding the final which consisted of two matches. Suwon Samsung Bluewings became the champions by defeating FC Seoul 3–2 on aggregate in the final.

Kwon Chang-hoon South Korean footballer

Kwon Chang-hoon is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Suwon Samsung Bluewings and the South Korea national team. A full international since 2015, he is a winner of the 2015 East Asian Cup. He has also won the 2016 Korean FA Cup with Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

2016 K League Classic

The 2016 K League Classic was the 34th season of the top division of professional football in South Korea since its establishment in 1983 as K League and the fourth season in its current name, the K League Classic.

The 2018 AFC Champions League qualifying play-offs were played from 16 to 30 January 2018. A total of 22 teams competed in the qualifying play-offs to decide eight of the 32 places in the group stage of the 2018 AFC Champions League.

The 2018 AFC Champions League knockout stage was played from 7 May to 10 November 2018. A total of 16 teams competed in the knockout stage to decide the champions of the 2018 AFC Champions League.

The 2018 season was Kashima Antlers's 26th consecutive season in the J1 League since professional football was established in Japan in 1993. In addition to the domestic league, the club also competed in the Emperor's Cup, J.League Cup, and AFC Champions League. They won the latter trophy securing their first ever Champions League trophy in their first appearance in the final.
