Sweat was a co-headlining concert tour by English singer-songwriter Charli XCX and Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan, in support of their albums Brat (2024) and Something to Give Each Other (2023), respectively. The tour began on 14 September 2024, in Detroit, Michigan, and concluded on 23 October 2024, in Seattle, Washington. English singer and DJ Shygirl served as the opening act.

Background

Charli XCX and Troye Sivan first collaborated in 2018 with their song "1999". [1] Due to the song's popularity, the duo would collaborate further, releasing "2099" the following year. [2]

Sivan released his third studio album, Something to Give Each Other , on 13 October 2023, [3] while Charli XCX released her sixth studio album Brat on 7 June 2024. [4] In the summer of 2024, both artists embarked on separate tours in support of the albums. [5] [6] On 17 April 2024, the duo announced Sweat, a joint tour of North America. [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]

Troye Sivan Mellet is an Australian singer-songwriter and actor. After gaining popularity as a singer on YouTube and in Australian talent competitions, Sivan signed with EMI Australia in 2013 and released his third EP, TRXYE (2014), which peaked at number five on the US Billboard 200. Its lead single, "Happy Little Pill", reached the top 10 on Australian music charts. In 2015, he released his fourth extended play, Wild, followed by his debut studio album, Blue Neighbourhood. The album's lead single, "Youth", became Sivan's first single to enter the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 23.

Charlotte Emma Aitchison, known professionally as Charli XCX, is an English singer and songwriter. Born in Cambridge and raised in Start Hill, Essex, Charli XCX began posting songs on Myspace in 2008 before entering the London rave scene. She signed a recording contract with Asylum Records in 2010, releasing a series of singles and mixtapes throughout 2011 and 2012. She later featured on "I Love It" with Swedish duo Icona Pop, with the song becoming her first number-one in the UK and receiving global success. Her debut studio album, True Romance (2013), was released to positive reviews but failed to meet commercial expectations.

Alexander Guy Cook is an English music producer and the head of the now-closed UK record label PC Music. Cook released his first solo singles in 2014. He formed the one-off project QT with musician Sophie and performance artist Hayden Dunham, producing the 2014 single "Hey QT".

It was released on 23 October 2019 by Asylum and Atlantic UK as the fourth and final single from her third studio album Charli (2019). It was written by Charli XCX and produced by A.G. Cook, Andrew Watt and Happy Perez. The song is an emotional pop ballad about burning through a relationship with her boyfriend and throwing it away. "Apple" is a song by English singer Charli XCX. It was produced by A. G. Cook and written by Charli XCX and released on 7 June 2024 from her sixth studio album Brat through Atlantic Records. It went viral on TikTok shortly afterwards, spawning a dance craze on the platform. The song was released to Italian radio through Warner Records on 2 August 2024 as the third single from the album. "Apple" earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

A glitch-influenced indie dance song, "Girl, So Confusing" is built on talk-sing Auto-Tune vocals and a throbbing bassline. It deals with Charli XCX's strained relationship with another female musician.

Something to Give Each Other Tour is the fifth headlining concert tour by Australian singer Troye Sivan, in support of his third studio album, Something to Give Each Other (2023). It is Sivan's first tour in five years following the Bloom Tour which ran from 2018 to 2019. The first leg began on 29 May 2024 in Lisbon, Portugal, and concluded on 28 June in Birmingham, England. He was supported by Jodie Harsh for the UK dates and will be supported by Nick Ward for the Oceania dates. Due to popular demand, the show in Amsterdam was moved to the Ziggo Dome with a 13,500 capacity from its original planned location, the AFAS Live with a 6,000 capacity.

"Sympathy Is a Knife" is a song by English singer Charli XCX. It was released on 7 June 2024 through Atlantic Records as the third track from her sixth studio album, Brat. Written and produced by Charli XCX herself and long-time collaborator Finn Keane, better known as Easyfun, the former bares her thoughts on a woman that evokes feelings "doubt and insecurity" in herself on the song. It was seen as a representation of one of the central themes of its parent album, as it deals with the singer's "complicated emotions about other women".
