Tarmakchi (Persian : ترمكچي‎, also Romanized as Tarmakchī)^[1] is a village in Saruq Rural District, Takht-e Soleyman District, Takab County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 171, in 29 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Saruq Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Takht-e Soleyman District, Takab County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 8,490, in 1,621 families. The rural district has 13 villages.
