Teghnit-e Olya (Persian : تغنيت عليا‎, also Romanized as Teghnīt-e ‘Olyā; also known as Teghnīt-e Bālā)^[1] is a village in Chaldoran-e Jonubi Rural District, in the Central District of Chaldoran County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 109, in 20 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Chaldoran-e Jonubi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Chaldoran County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,735, in 1,756 families. The rural district has 44 villages.

The District has one city: Siah Cheshmeh. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Baba Jik Rural District, Chaldoran-e Jonubi Rural District, and Chaldoran-e Shomali Rural District.
