Masjid Malabar Mosque in Singapore

Masjid Malabar or Malabar Muslim Jama-Ath Mosque, also known as Golden Dome Mosque; is Singapore's only Malabar Muslim mosque. The mosque is located at the junction of Victoria Street and Jalan Sultan in the Kampong Glam district, in the Rochor Planning Area within the Central Area. The mosque is built on the Sultan Mosque style with traditional blue and white lapis lazuli tile facade. The mosque was nicknamed as little cousin of the Sultan Mosque, because of similar golden domes.

Sago Lane

Sago Lane is a one-way lane in Chinatown within the Outram Planning Area in Singapore. The street links Banda Street to Neil Road. In the past, the street was much longer and was home to funeral parlours or death houses. Part of the street was demolished in the late 1960s due to the construction of the new HDB development at Kreta Ayer, also known as Chinatown Complex. Currently the street, is mainly used during Chinese New Year as part of the festive bazaar in Chinatown.

Branch MRT line former MRT line in Singapore

The Branch MRT line was originally the third Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore, initially operated as a branch to the existing East West line. The line was 6.5 kilometres (4.0 mi) long with four stations, and was operated by the SMRT Corporation. Travelling from one end of this line to the other end took about ten minutes, and this line was coloured brown and khaki on the rail map. The line is now part of the North South line, making it the first and only defunct line in Singapore.

Yan Kit Swimming Complex

Yan Kit Swimming Complex, located along Yan Kit Road, was the second public swimming pool in Singapore, opening in 1952 and closing on April 2001. The complex cost a total of $513,000 and pool users had to pay fifteen cents per entry. The complex closed due to a daily attendance of only 120 users by 2001.

Kim Seng Single Member Constituency was a constituency in Singapore. It used to exist from 1972 to 1991, where it was merged into Kampong Glam GRC. It was carved out from parts of Bukit Ho Swee and Delta constituencies.

Local elections were held in the Federation of Malaya in 1955.

Bras Basah Subzone of Museum Planning Area in Singapore

Bras Basah is a district located in the Museum Planning Area of the Central Area of Singapore. Bras Basah means "wet rice" in Malay – beras means harvested rice with husk removed, and basah means wet. The precinct houses several landmarks including Fairmont Singapore, Raffles Hotel, the Singapore Art Museum, the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd and the Singapore Management University. A Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station, Bras Basah MRT station, is on the Circle line.

Alkaff Gardens was a Japanese-style park once located east of the Bidadari Cemetery from 1930 to 1964, on the present site of Cedar Girls' Secondary School at Bidadari, Singapore. In the 1930s, the park was a popular leisure destination for dating couples and families. It featured as its centrepiece an artificial lake, which was drained in 1964.

Phey Yew Kok is a former Singaporean politician and union leader. He was the Member of Parliament for Boon Teck constituency from 1972 to 1980 and the President of the National Trades Union Congress from 1970 to 1980. He was convicted in 2016 for charges of misuse of union funds laid against him in 1979. He was on the run for 35 years before surrendering to Singapore authorities in 2015.
