"The Color Violet" is a song by Canadian rapper Tory Lanez. It is the fourth track on his sixth studio album Alone at Prom , which was released on December 10, 2021 by One Umbrella.

HotNewHipHop described "The Color Violet" as "a late-night cruising anthem that was a part of the 80s transformation that we saw seem to dip into on the record". [2]

Music video

The official music video for the song was released on November 6, 2023, while Lanez was in jail. [3]

Commercial performance

Following the song going viral, the song became a minor hit in some countries, debuting at number 99 on the UK Singles Chart on November 25, 2022. The song additionally reached number 63 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 24 on the Canadian Hot 100. [4] [5]

Alone at Prom is the sixth studio album by Canadian rapper and singer Tory Lanez. It was released on December 10, 2021, through his independent label One Umbrella. The album's concept is built around '80s music, being inspired to that era of music and aesthetics.

"Rich Flex" is a song by Canadian rapper Drake and Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage from their collaborative studio album Her Loss (2022). It was sent to US rhythmic radio on November 11, 2022, as the lead single from the album. The song interpolates "Savage" (2020) by Megan Thee Stallion, "24's" (2003) by T.I., and 21 Savage's own "Red Opps" (2016), as well as sampling "I Want You, Girl" (1973) by Sugar and "Nora's Transformation" (1973) by Charles Bernstein.
