The Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in Uganda is the official diplomatic mission of the Government of South Sudan in Uganda. [1] It was established in the capital Kampala in 1998 to provide diplomatic engagement and pursue the interests of the Government and people of South Sudan in Uganda. [2]

The Head of Mission of South Sudan in Uganda is ambassador Simon Juach Deng who was appointed as ambassador by South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit in October 2022. [3]

Mission

The diplomatic mission in Uganda was established to ensure both South Sudan and Uganda enjoy cordial relations and the mission's mandate is to forge closer relations between the people of the Republic of South Sudan and the people of the Republic of Uganda. [4]

Location

The Embassy of South Sudan in Uganda is located at Plot No.2 Sezibwa Road behind Sheraton Hotel and near Serena Hotel and Nakasero Primary School in Nakasero, Kampala, Uganda.

The British High Commission Kampala is the diplomatic mission of the Government of the United Kingdom to Uganda, representing the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom's interests. It is located on Windsor Loop in the Kampala suburb of Kamwokya. The current British High Commissioner is Kate Airey who was appointed at the end of 2019, and started in November 2020.

Simon Juach Deng is a South Sudanese politician and diplomat. Simon is currently the Head of Mission of the Embassy of South Sudan in Kampala, Uganda. Mr. Simon was appointed into the ambassadorial position in October 2022 by President Salva Kiir, replacing Simon Duku.
