The name was first used by Raphaël Dubois who invented the words luciferin and luciferase, for the substrate and enzyme, respectively. The winners were Embrace and Remee became the winning mentor for the third time and for the first time in the Danish X Factor history a judge has won two years in a row.

They received 60% of the public vote and became the second group to win the competition. After they won their winning single Commitment Issues was released on the Music Services. On 21 April, they changed their band name to NEW:NAME. On 20 May they released their debut EP called True Story.
