The University of Zimbabwe (UZ) is a public university in Harare,Zimbabwe. It opened in 1952 as the University College of Rhodesia and Nyasaland,and was initially affiliated with the University of London. It was later renamed the University of Rhodesia,and adopted its present name upon Zimbabwe's independence in 1980. UZ is the oldest university in Zimbabwe.

Under his coaching,England won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20. Flower became the second foreign coach in the team's history. Currently,he is the head coach of Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League,St Lucia Kings in the Caribbean Premier League,Trent Rockets in The Hundred and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.
The Zimbabwe men's national cricket team,also known as the Chevrons,represents Zimbabwe in men's international cricket and is overseen by Zimbabwe Cricket. Zimbabwe has been a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992. As of May,2023,Zimbabwe was ranked 10th in Tests,11th in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 11th in Twenty20 internationals (T20Is) by the ICC.

Murisi Zwizwai was a Zimbabwean politician from Movement for Democratic Change –Tsvangirai who served as Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Development and later as Deputy Minister of information,publicity and broadcasting services. He was the Member of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe for Harare Central first elected in 2003. He was re-elected in the 2022 by-election. He died in Harare on 1 June 2024,aged 54.
Andrew Langa is the former Zimbabwe government minister of Culture and Sports He is the Member of House of Assembly for Insiza North (ZANU-PF). Since 2005 he has been on the United States sanctions list.
Reuben Marumahoko is a former Zimbabwe Deputy Minister of Regional Integration and International Cooperation. and former Senator for Hurungwe (ZANU-PF). Since 2003,he is placed on the United States sanctions list.
