Until recently, the constituents of this family were classified in the family Tiphiidae, but multiple studies have independently confirmed that thynnids are a separate lineage.

Neozeleboria is a genus of tiphiid wasp in the order Hymenoptera, first described in 1910 by Sievert Allen Rohwer. The type species is Thynnus sexmaculataSmith, 1859.
