Timeless is the fourth solo studio album by Canadian country singer Dallas Smith, and was released through 604 Records on August 28, 2020. [1] [2]
Smith told Parton and Pearl after releasing The Fall , "I honestly just looked at that chunk of music as something individually". He then began to work on a second EP when he "got a sense of the record taking shape". Smith said "As far as a record and listening to it front to back I knew what was missing and how I wanted this chapter to be represented". [2]
While Smith recorded the vocals of the previously-released tracks in Nashville, Tennessee with longtime producer Joey Moi, restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic forced Smith to record vocals for the rest of the album at his home in Langley, British Columbia. [2] Smith said he hoped to release "timeless country music" in "uncertain times". [3]
The album contains twelve songs in total and includes all six songs from his previously released, Juno Award-nominated extended play, The Fall . [1] [4] Five singles: "Make 'Em Like You", [5] "Rhinestone World", [6] [7] "Drop", [8] "Timeless", [9] and "Like a Man" [10] were released prior to the album and each one reached number one on the Billboard Canada Country chart, breaking a record that Smith previously set for most number ones on a Canadian country album with his third album, Side Effects . [11] The album features collaborations with fellow Canadian country artists Dean Brody and MacKenzie Porter as well as American country rock artist Hardy. [4] The latter collaboration, "Some Things Never Change" was sent to country radio as the sixth single off the album, [12] and would extend Smith's record to six number one singles from the same album. [13]

Dallas Hendry Smith is a Canadian singer and songwriter, who performs both as a solo country music artist and as lead singer for the hard rock band Default. He is currently signed to Big Loud Records. Smith is the current record holder of most number one hits among all male Canadian artists on Billboard's Canada Country chart, at eleven. With Side Effects, Smith also became the first Canadian country artist in the Nielsen BDS era to chart four consecutive number one singles from one album, a feat he would then top with his next album, Timeless.

Dean Brody is a Canadian country music artist who has won 16 CCMA Awards and 2 JUNO Awards. Originally signed to Broken Bow Records in 2008, Brody made his debut later that year with the single "Brothers". This song, a Top 40 country hit in the US, was the first single from his self-titled debut album, released in 2009 under the production of Matt Rovey. In 2010, Brody was signed to Open Road Recordings and released his second album, Trail in Life. MacKenzie Lea Porter is a Canadian country singer, songwriter, and actress. She has released one self-titled album and achieved four Canada Country number ones with "About You", "These Days", "Seeing Other People", and "Pickup". She is featured on Dustin Lynch's number one Country Airplay hit "Thinking 'Bout You". As an actor she is best known for her leading role as a future-sent medic in the television series Travelers.
Lifted is the second solo album by Canadian country music artist Dallas Smith. It was released in Canada on November 25, 2014 via 604 Records. The album was available for pre-order on iTunes after the release of the single "Wastin' Gas," which was released on October 28, 2014. In the United States, Lifted was instead released via Big Loud Mountain Records as a six-song EP containing only the material not released on previous EP, Tippin' Point, except for a live recording of the title track.

The album entered the top ten in the United States, and the top 40 in Scotland, Australia, and Canada. It failed to enter the UK Albums Chart, but entered at number one on the UK Country Albums chart.
