604 Records (stylized as VIOIV Records) is a music production company. It is named after area code 604 of the Lower Mainland, where the company's offices are located.
The company was co-founded by Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger and attorney Jonathan Simkin, founder of Simkin Artist Management, in 2001, and launched in 2002. Their records are distributed in Canada by Warner Music Group. [1] [2] [3]
Simkin launched the companion label Light Organ Records in 2010 to release music by indie rock bands who he felt did not fit with 604's image. [4]
In 2014, mainly due to the revenue from the success of Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe, 604 Records relocated to a larger office and opened 604 Studios, a multimedia production facility featuring two recording studios, soundstage and in-house production team. [5]

Cadence Recordings, formerly MapleMusic Recordings, is a Canadian independent record label founded by Andy Maize, Jeff Maize, Mike Alkier, Evan Hu, Lorique Mindel and Grant Dexter in 1999 and based in Toronto, Ontario. Other investors include Gary Slaight, Michael Burke and Universal Music. In 2016, its parent Company Maple Core changed its name to Cadence Music Group, and as a result, MapleMusic was renamed as Cadence Recordings.
Fake Shark is a Canadian alternative rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia. Originally formed in 2005, while their early musical style mainly combined elements of dance punk, post-hardcore and IDM, the group gradually evolved to a more commercially streamlined sound in 2015, within the realm of indie rock, electro pop, new wave and slacker rock.
