Taxonomy

This species was described in 2020 by Gustavo Hormiga and Nikolaj Scharff from specimens collected in Reefton. The holotype is stored in Te Papa Museum. [1]

Description

The male is recorded at 2.37-2.59mm in length. This species has a red brown carapace, yellow brown legs and a greyish brown abdomen. [1]

Distribution

This species is only known from Reefton, New Zealand. [1]

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Naturally Uncommon" with the qualifier of "One Location". [2]
