Tisdale is an unincorporated community in Cowley County, Kansas, United States. [1]
The post office was established December 1, 1871, and discontinued April 15, 1920. [2] Tisdale once had three stores and several other buildings, and did a flourishing trade with the surrounding area until the spring of 1880 when the railroad was built four miles to the north through Burden, Kansas. [3]
Tisdale is a ghost town, located about six miles east of Winfield on US Route 160, near the Tisdale Methodist Church, and west of State Highway 15.
The community is served by Winfield USD 465 public school district.

It starts at US-77 in southern Winfield and proceeds east and north for 3.469 miles (5.583 km), ending at US-160 in eastern Winfield.
K-38 was a Kansas state highway that started at K-15 north of Dexter in rural Cowley County. It was 12.9-mile-long (20.8 km), ending in Chautauqua County at an intersection with a county road. There were no towns or state facilities served by the road. K-38 was never completely paved; the last couple of miles of the road were gravel.
