Saqlain Mushtaq is a Pakistani cricket coach and former international cricketer who was the head coach of the Pakistani national cricket team between 2021 and 2022. He is best known for pioneering the "doosra",a leg break delivery bowled with an off break action. He was the fastest to reach the milestones of 200 and 250 wickets in ODIs. Mushtaq made history when he became the first Pakistani to take a hat-trick at a Cricket World Cup,which he did against Zimbabwe during the 1999 tournament.

Anthony John Ireland is a former cricketer from Zimbabwe. A fast bowler,he performed consistently during his tenure with Zimbabwe,taking 38 wickets in 26 matches at an average of 29.34. He was one of many talented white Zimbabweans to leave the team due to the situation of the ZCU and the country,to pursue careers in English domestic cricket,where he represented Gloucestershire and Middlesex before joining Leicestershire for the 2013 season,retiring from professional cricket at the end of the 2014 season.

Thomas Christopher Smith is a former English cricketer who played for Lancashire County Cricket Club. He had also been a member of the England Academy team. In 2008,he played for Leicestershire on loan because he was unable to break into Lancashire's first team. He is an all-rounder,bowling right-arm medium and batting left-handed. At the start of the 2009 season,Smith was promoted to open the batting,having previously batted in the lower order,and secured his place there. In 2011,the year Lancashire won the County Championship for the first time since 1950,Smith became the first Lancashire player to score a century and take four wickets in the same one-day match. In 2011/12 Smith played for the Matabeleland Tuskers in Zimbabwe as an overseas player in the domestic twenty20 competition.
Oliver Philip Rayner is an English former professional cricketer. He is a right-arm off break bowler and right-handed batsman who most recently played for Middlesex County Cricket Club. In May 2019,he was selected to represent the German cricket team. In March 2020,Rayner announced his retirement from cricket.
William Robert Simon Gidman is an English former professional cricketer who most recently played for Kent County Cricket Club as an all-rounder. He previously played county cricket for Durham,Gloucestershire and Nottinghamshire and spent a period on loan at Kent towards the end of the 2016 season before joining the club permanently in October 2016.
David Alexander Burton is a first-class cricketer,who has played county cricket for Gloucesteshire,Middlesex and Northamptonshire.
James Kerr Fuller is a South African born New Zealand professional cricketer,who has also played for the England Lions cricket team. Having played for Otago and Auckland in New Zealand domestic cricket,Fuller played for Gloucestershire (2011-2015) and Middlesex (2016-2018). He signed a two-year contract with Hampshire on 4 October 2018.

The 2013 County Championship season,known as the LV= County Championship for sponsorship reasons,was the 114th cricket County Championship season. It was contested through two divisions:Division One and Division Two. Each team played all the others in their division both home and away. Durham were County Champions for the third time in six seasons. The top two teams from Division Two,Lancashire and Northamptonshire,gained promotion to the first division for the 2014 season,while the bottom two sides from Division One—Derbyshire and Surrey—were relegated to Division Two for 2014.
Harry William Podmore is an English professional cricketer who plays for Glamorgan County Cricket Club. A right-arm medium-fast bowler who bats right-handed,he played youth cricket for Middlesex and made his debut for the county in 2014 before spending time on loan with Glamorgan,Durham and Derbyshire over the next two seasons. He made his first-class cricket debut on 1 May 2016 in the 2016 County Championship and played for Kent between 2018 and 2022;he was awarded his county cap in 2019 and left the county at the end of the 2022 season,moving to Glamorgan.
In 2011,Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division Two of the County Championship,Group A of the 40-over Clydesdale Bank 40 and the South Group of the Friends Life t20. Kent also hosted a Twenty20 match at the St Lawrence Ground against the touring Indians,and a three-day first-class MCC Universities match against Loughborough MCCU,also at the St Lawrence Ground. It was the second and final season in charge for Director of Cricket Paul Farbrace. The club captain was former England batsman Rob Key who had been club captain since 2006. Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz joined Kent as their overseas player in June,and another fast bowler,South African Charl Langeveldt,signed as Kent's second overseas player for the Friends Life t20 competition only.
In 2008,Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division One of the County Championship,the South-East Division of the 50-over Friends Provident Trophy,Division Two of the NatWest Pro40 and the South Division of the Twenty20 Cup. Kent also hosted a three-day first-class match against the touring New Zealanders and a three-day match without first-class status against Leeds/Bradford UCCE,both at the St Lawrence Ground.
In 2019 Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division One of the County Championship after gaining promotion in the 2018 season,the Royal London One-Day Cup and the 2019 t20 Blast.
Jack Joshua Carson is a professional cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 1 August 2020,for Sussex in the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy. He was Sussex's leading wicket-taker in the competition,and also the 2021 County Championship. Carson is eligible to play international cricket for either England or Ireland.
In 2021 Kent County Cricket Club competed in the 2021 County Championship,the 2021 One-Day Cup and the 2021 T20 Blast. The season was the fifth in charge for head coach,and former player,Matthew Walker. Sam Billings retained the club captaincy that he was first awarded in 2018. Daniel Bell-Drummond was named as vice-captain,replacing Joe Denly. Jack Leaning was named as captain for the One-Day Cup.
