Tonicha "Toni" Daggert is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Emmerdale. She is played by actress Kerry Stacey. [1]
Stacey's casting was one of three new signings announced for Emmerdale in November 2005. [2] Toni was introduced as the cousin of Danny Daggert (Cleveland Campbell), [2] the already established character.
In November 2006, it was reported Stacey had quit the show. [3]
While on holiday in Portugal, Toni meets Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), agrees to return to Emmerdale with him, and pretends to be his internet girlfriend, "Fireblade". The scheme is designed to upset Paddy's receptionist, Jo Stiles (Roxanne Pallett), who entices the sexy stranger to boost Paddy's confidence. After the joke is played out, Toni reveals herself to be the fun-loving cousin of a local boy, Danny Daggert, and settles into life in the village. She takes a job at the Woolpack after impressing landlady Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) and works behind the bar. She has a one-night stand with Ivan Jones (Daniel Brocklebank) much to Nicola Blackstock's (Nicola Wheeler) fury. Toni sets her sights on Paddy's business partner, Hari Prasad (John Nayagam), and flirts with him, hoping for a date. Toni is oblivious to Paddy's feelings for her and when he confesses she accuses him of trying to ruin her chances with Hari. Things are awkward for a while, but she and Paddy come through it.
Toni regrets rejecting Paddy when he becomes close to Del Dingle (Hayley Tamaddon), and she realizes she does have feelings for him and tries to win him back. Del confronts Toni in the Woolpack kitchen and warns her off Paddy. When Toni refuses, a fight ensues, and Toni is severely burned with hot fat. Despite being an accident, Paddy is horrified at Del's actions and dumps her. Toni and Paddy get together and eventually get engaged after Paddy proposes, but the proposal is revealed as accidental and the two split. Toni makes peace with Paddy and Del before leaving.
Del Dingle is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Emmerdale, played by Hayley Tamaddon. She made her first on-screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 15 July 2005.
Chas Dingle is a fictional character from the British soap opera Emmerdale, played by Lucy Pargeter. She made her first appearance during the episode broadcast on 16 October 2002. Chas returned on 21 September 2003. Chas was absent for six months in 2005 when Pargeter took maternity leave. She left temporarily on 5 June 2005, and returned full-time from 13 December 2005. In 2013, Pargeter announced that she would be taking a short break from the show in order to appear in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. Pargeter was briefly recast for one episode on 20 December 2016 to provide an alternative physical appearance to the character through the eyes of Ashley Thomas. Chas departed temporarily once again on 31 March 2017 when Pargeter took a second maternity leave. Pargeter confirmed her return to filming on 31 August 2017. Chas returned on 25 October 2017. In January 2024, it was announced that Chas would be diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in an upcoming storyline.
Marlon Dingle is a fictional character from the British television soap opera Emmerdale, played by Mark Charnock. He made his first appearance during the episode broadcast on 17 October 1996. Following the departure of Zak Dingle, Marlon currently serves and the second longest-running character featuring in the programme, surpassed only by Eric Pollard. For his portrayal of Marlon, Charnock won the British Soap Award for Outstanding Achievement at the 2023 British Soap Awards.

Archibald Seth Armstrong is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Emmerdale, played by Stan Richards from 1978 until 2004. The role of Seth began as a temporary "bit part" and he was due to appear for just a few episodes, but proved so popular that further appearances were made until Seth became a full-time regular character in the summer of 1980. Seth continuously annoyed the landlord Amos Brearly and later Alan Turner who took over in 1991, who memorably often shouted "Get out Seth!".
Bernice Blackstock is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Emmerdale, played by Samantha Giles. She made her first on screen appearance on 25 November 1998. In September 2012, it was announced Giles had reprised her role and Bernice returned on 20 November 2012 after over eight years away from the programme. In September 2019, Giles announced her departure from the series, with her final scenes airing in November 2019. In April 2021, it was announced that Giles would be returning to the soap, with her return scenes airing on 27 May 2021. However, it was announced on 17 July 2023 that Giles would be leaving the show once again later in the year with her final scenes airing on 14 November 2023.
Genesis "Gennie" Walker is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Emmerdale, played by Sian Reese-Williams. She made her first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 1 April 2008. Reese-Williams announced her departure from the show on 12 May 2013 and she made her last appearance as Gennie on 26 July 2013.
Ivan Jones is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Emmerdale, played by Daniel Brocklebank. He appeared in the series from 5 May 2005 until 2 August 2006. Ivan was originally introduced to participate in a storyline about the character of Jarvis Skelton and only meant to feature in three episodes. The serial's producers were impressed with Brocklebank and made Ivan a regular character. The character is a Geordie, which required the actor to adopt the accent. Ivan is characterised as a "good-humoured" and "charming" dustman, while Brocklebank described him as having "quite a few" love interests and stated that he has "slept his way around the village".
Jimmy King is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Emmerdale, played by Nick Miles. He made his first appearance on 19 February 2004 and has appeared on the show ever since. Introduced alongside brothers Matthew, Max and Carl, as well as his father Tom, Jimmy has evolved from a hard, cold businessman to a devoted husband and a comical character. This personality transformation followed the deaths of all his brothers in 2005, 2008 and 2012 respectively, his murder of his father in 2006 and a marriage to Nicola Blackstock since 2010.
