Triplophysa zamegacephala is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Triplophysa although these stone loaches are placed in the genus Qinghaichthys by some authorities. [1] It occurs in the Gaize River in Xinjiang Autonomous Region, China. [2]

Triplophysa is a genus of fish in the family Nemacheilidae found mainly in and around the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China. Currently, the genus is a mixed assemblage of species.
