Tunku Zain Al-'Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz (born 6 July 1982), more popularly known as Tunku 'Abidin Muhriz, is the second son of the reigning Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia, Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir and the reigning Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Tengku Besar Mahmud. [1] He is the Founding President of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS), Malaysia and is a trustee of Yayasan Chow Kit along with Yayasan Munarah. [2]
Tunku Zain Al-'Abidin was born on 6 July 1982 at University Hospital, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, as second son and child of Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir (now the reigning Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan) and Tuanku Aishah Rohani.

He is the Pro-Chancellor of UCSI University, a Trustee of Yayasan Munarah, Yayasan Chow Kit and the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, Founding President of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) and is an Honorary Major in the Malaysian Territorial Army. In his various roles he has been interviewed for numerous television programmes, magazines and newspaper features; he is particular a regular columnist for major newspaper The Star since 2018. [3]
Tunku 'Abidin is greatly interested in music and is an accomplished pianist. He is the patron for the Euroasia Association of Performing Arts or Euroasia, and regularly supports the organisation's efforts to develop and share music education and performance. Tunku 'Abidin has also performed at the Konsert Diraja UKM ( National University of Malaysia Royal Concert) for the past several years. He is the first patron of Hands Percussion, a Malaysian percussion ensemble. [4]
In conjunction with his father's Installation Ceremony he wrote a book about the state's history and customs, and began a major project composing a new rendition for his state's anthem, Berkatlah Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. This new composition was officially launched on 26 October 2010. [5]

Negeri Sembilan, historically spelled as Negri Sembilan, is a state in Malaysia which lies on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It borders Selangor on the north, Pahang in the east, and Malacca and Johor to the south.
Seri Menanti is a town, a mukim and a state assembly constituency in Kuala Pilah District, central Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, located 33 km east of the state capital city of Seremban and 14 km southwest of Kuala Pilah. It is the royal capital of the state of Negeri Sembilan and houses the seat of the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan or Yamtuan Besar, the ruler of the state of Negeri Sembilan. "Berkatlah Yang DiPertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan" is the state anthem of Negeri Sembilan. It was composed by Andrew Caldecott (1884–1951) with lyrics by Tunku Zakaria Mambang. It was adopted as an official state anthem in 1911 at the behest of Tuanku Muhammad Shah (1865–1933), the seventh Yang di-Pertuan Besar, who ruled Negeri Sembilan from 1888 to 1933.
Yamtuan Besar, also known officially as Yang di-Pertuan Besar and unofficially as Grand Ruler, is the royal title of the ruler of the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan. The Grand Ruler of Negeri Sembilan is elected by a council of ruling chiefs in the state, or the Undangs. This royal practice has been followed since 1773. The Yamtuan Besar is elected from among the four leading princes of Negeri Sembilan ; the Undangs themselves cannot stand for election and their choice of a ruler is limited to a male Muslim who is Malay and also a "lawfully begotten descendant of Raja Radin ibni Raja Lenggang", the 4th Yamtuan.

His Highness Tunku Ali Redhauddin ibni Tuanku Muhriz is the eldest son of the reigning Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir and the Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud. He was proclaimed the title Tunku Besar of Seri Menanti on 22 February 2009 and also a member of the Negeri Sembilan Council of Justice and Law. Besides his official duties, Tunku Ali divides his time between corporate boards, non-profit entities and educational institutions. He was recognised as a Young Global Leader in 2013 by World Economic Forum.

Tuanku Munawir ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman was the ninth Yang Di-Pertuan Besar of the Malaysian State of Negeri Sembilan. He was the eldest son of the first of Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Tuanku Abdul Rahman with his second consort Tunku Maharun.
