He currently competes in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is the former UFC Middleweight Champion. A professional competitor since 2008, he is a former middleweight champion of the King of the Cage. As of December 16, 2024, he is #1 in the UFC middleweight rankings and #14 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings.
Dricus du Plessis, also known by his initials DDP, is a South African professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is the current UFC Middleweight Champion and the first South African to win a UFC championship. As of 17 September 2024, he is #6 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings.
