The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions (also known as The Ultimate Fighter 24 and Team Benavidez vs. Team Cejudo) is an installment of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)-produced reality television series The Ultimate Fighter . [1] [2]
On May 11, 2016 the UFC announced that the 16 competitors for the season would be made up of flyweight fighters from various locations who are champions in their respective organizations around the world, with the winner being expected to have a chance to fight for the UFC Flyweight Championship. [3] The cast was announced on July 20. [4]
The coaches for the season were former flyweight title challengers Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo. [1]

The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions Finale (also known as The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale) was a mixed martial arts event promoted by the Ultimate Fighting Championship held on December 3, 2016, at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. [1] [7]
The event was headlined by a UFC Flyweight Championship bout between former UFC and ONE champion Demetrious Johnson and Tim Elliott, the winner of the flyweight tournament from The Ultimate Fighter 24. The TUF winner also received a Harley-Davidson motorcycle of his choosing and a six-figure UFC contract. [1] [8]
Also, a flyweight bout between season coaches and former title challengers Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo served as the co-main event. [1]
Jake Collier was expected to face Josh Stansbury at the event. However, Collier pulled out of the fight in late October citing injury and was replaced by Devin Clark. [9]
The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America bantamweight winner Alejandro Pérez was scheduled to face Rob Font at the event, but pulled out on November 24. [10] He was replaced by promotional newcomer and this Ultimate Fighter season's contestant Matt Schnell. [11]

Henry Cejudo is an American professional mixed martial artist and freestyle wrestler. He is the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight Champion and Bantamweight Champion. He is the fourth UFC fighter to hold titles in two different weight classes simultaneously, and the second to defend titles in two different weight divisions. He is the only person to win an Olympic gold medal and a UFC title. He is considered to be among the greatest combat athletes of all time due to his accomplishments in MMA and freestyle wrestling.

Demetrious Johnson is an American mixed martial artist. He currently competes in ONE Championship, where he is the current ONE Flyweight Champion. He is the inaugural and former UFC Flyweight Champion. Known for his quick striking and elusive movement, Johnson has also landed the most takedowns in UFC flyweight history and co-holds the record for the latest finish in UFC history with a submission win at 4:59 of the fifth round against Kyoji Horiguchi. He is the only UFC fighter to record over 10 takedowns in three different fights. Johnson also holds the record for most finishes in UFC flyweight history with 7.
