The Men's Open National is a team handball tournament to determine the Open National Champion from the US. This is the second highest level of competition in the United States. Not qualified teams for the Men's Elite Division are allowed to play in this Division. Before the Men's Elite Division was established, the National Champion was crowned at the Open Division.

Contents

The 2020 US Club Nationals were cancelled due to COVID-19 and, hence, no champion was designated.

United States Curling Association National governing body of the sport of curling

The United States Curling Association is the national governing body of the sport of curling in the United States. The goal of the USCA is to grow the sport of curling in the United States and win medals in competitions both domestic and abroad. Curling's recent popularity has swelled the USCA to 185 curling clubs and approximately 23,500 curlers in the United States. The United States Olympic men's curling teams have seen success in recent years, most notably winning the gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, led by skip John Shuster.

Handball in the United States is a minor sport. The U.S. is represented in international competitions, such as the Summer Olympics and the Pan American Games, by the United States men's national handball team and the United States women's national handball team. The U.S. men's and women's teams have struggled in international competitions against nations where handball is more popular.

The first tier of intercollegiate sports in the United States includes sports that are sanctioned by one of the collegiate sport governing bodies. The major sanctioning organization is the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Before mid-1981, women's top-tier intercollegiate sports were solely governed by the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW). The second tier consists of competition between student clubs from different colleges, not organized by and therefore not formally representing the institutions or their faculties. This tier is also considered to be "intercollegiate" sports. College sports originated as student activities.

2015 in sports describes the year's events in world sport. This year, some sporting events listed below are qualifying ones, for athletes, to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro. From July 2015 to May 2016, the venues for the 2016 Summer Olympics and Paralympics will be tested, by hosting various events in them.

West Point Team Handball

West Point Team Handball is a handball club from West Point, New York, United States. They are the handball team of the United States Military Academy. They play with four teams at various competitions. There are two teams for each gender. The West Point Black team is the first team and the West Point Gold team is the second team. They won the most College National Champions.

The Men's College National is a team handball tournament to determine the College National Champion from the US.

The Women's College National is a team handball tournament to determine the College National Champion from the US.

The 2018 College Nationals was the 23rd Men's College Nationals. The College Nationals was a team handball tournament to determine the College National Champion from 2018 from the US. The University of Virginia played extremely well, wildly outperforming expectations behind strong performances from the outgoing fourth-year class, but ultimately fell short in the final to the machine-like cadets from West Point. UVA has improved vastly over the last three years, and has risen to the elite ranks of collegiate team handball.

The 2015 College Nationals was the 20th Men's College Nationals. The College Nationals was a team handball tournament to determined the College National Champion from 2015 from the US.

The Men's Elite Division is a team handball tournament to determine the National Champion from the US. Only qualified teams are allowed to play in this Division. The other teams who fail to qualify play in the Open Division. Automatic bids are given to the winners of the Northeast Team Handball League, and the Midwest Team Handball and, in the past, were also given to the Great Lakes Team Handball Association, and Western Team Handball League. In the current format, the Elite Division comprises 8 teams. Before the Elite Division existed the National Champion was claimed at the Open Division.

The Women's Open National is a team handball tournament to determine the National Champion from the US. Chicago Inter holds the most title in the women's division. The current US reigning champion is New York City THC.

The 1975 Nationals was the first Women's Nationals. The Nationals was a team handball tournament to determine the National Champion from 1975 from the US.

USAFA Team Handball

USAF Team Handball is a handball club from Air Force Academy, Colorado, United States. They are the handball team of the United States Air Force Academy. They are one of the most successful men's college teams. Besides the Adelphi University and UCLA they are the only college team which has won an adult national title in 1978.
