Union Hill, also known as Wolff, is an unincorporated community in the eastern portion of Morgan County, Alabama, United States. [1] It is one of the highest points on Brindlee Mountain, part of the Appalachian Mountains. The area consists of Union Hill School (a K-8 school), Union Hill Senior Center and New Canaan Baptist Church. It also hosts Station #2 of the Brindlee Mountain Fire Department, as well as Lecroy's, a popular restaurant up the road from the school. The broadcast tower for radio station WRSA Lite 96.9 is also located in Union Hill. A post office operated under the name Wolff from 1899 to 1905. [2]
Bibb County is a county in the central portion of the U.S. state of Alabama. The county is included in the ARC's definition of Appalachia. As of the 24th decennial 2020 census, its population was 22,293. The county seat is Centreville. The county is named in honor of William W. Bibb (1781–1820), the Governor of Alabama Territory (1817–1819) and the first Governor of Alabama. He is also the namesake for Bibb County, Georgia, where he began his political career. It is a "prohibition" or dry county; however, a few towns have become "wet" by allowing the sale of alcoholic beverages: Woodstock, West Blocton, Centreville, and Brent. The Bibb County Courthouse is located in the county seat of Centreville.
Morgan County is a county in the north-central part of the U.S. state of Alabama. As of the 2020 census, its population was 123,421. The county seat is Decatur. On June 14, 1821, it was renamed in honor of American Revolutionary War General Daniel Morgan of Virginia. It is a prohibition or dry county, although alcohol sales are allowed in the cities of Decatur, Hartselle, and Priceville. Morgan County is included in the Decatur, AL Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Huntsville-Decatur-Albertville, AL Combined Statistical Area. It is a part of the North, Northwest, and North-Central regions of Alabama.

Morgan City, also known as New Rescue, is an unincorporated community located in Morgan and Marshall counties, Alabama, United States. It is included in the Huntsville-Decatur Combined Statistical Area, as well as the Decatur Metropolitan Area.
The Huntsville–Decatur–Albertville, Alabama, combined statistical area is the most populated sub-region of North Alabama, and is the second largest combined statistical area in the State of Alabama after Birmingham. The Huntsville-Decatur-Albertville CSA had a total of 879,315 people in 2022 and ranks 68th in the country.
WRAB is a radio station licensed to serve Arab, Alabama, United States. The station is owned by Fun Media Group, through licensee Fun Media Group of Alabama LLC. WRAB is an affiliate of Fox News Radio. The most popular show on WRAB is "The Helping Hand Show", heard Monday through Saturday from 9:00-9:30am, hosted by Archie Anderson. It airs a classic country format. Southern Gospel music is also played on WRAB and was hosted by Rick Stover from November 2001 until June 2019, when Stover retired. WRAB was, for a short time, an affiliate of Rick and Bubba.
Brindley Mountain is an isolated portion of the Appalachian Plateau in northern Alabama. It occupies significant portions of Cullman, Morgan, and Marshall Counties and extends into Winston and Lawrence counties. The plateau is formed by a sandstone cap-rock overlying limestone. The main mountain sits south of Lacey's Spring and houses communities such as Union Hill and Morgan City as well as parts of Union Grove and spans into Arab also. U.S. Route 231 runs over Brindley Mountain. The highest point of Brindley Mountain rests in Morgan City. A shale layer about 75-100 feet down from the top of the mountain created bluffs on all sides of the mountain, as well as caused road replacements to be necessary on Union Hill Rd / James Frazier Rd and US Hwy 231 immediately north of the Whitesburg Mountains. The shale layer is visible at the top of the quarry off of Union Hill Rd. The cement mixer on the side of Union Hill Rd originated in a wrecked vehicle on the original road alignment of Union Hill Rd, visible on older USGS 1:24000 topographical maps.

Its broadcast tower is located on Brindlee Mountain in Morgan County, Alabama, near the Union Hill community, and its studios are located in Madison, Alabama.
U.S. Route 231 (US 231) in Alabama runs north–south up through the eastern half of Alabama for 306.273 miles (492.899 km). US 231 enters the state from Florida south of Madrid and exits into Tennessee, running councurrently with US 431 north of Hazel Green. US 231 passes through the major cities of Dothan, Troy, Montgomery, and Huntsville.
