Overseas Chinese Town is the colloquial name for a cluster of scenic spots in Nanshan District of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China, around the Window of the World Station, Overseas Chinese Town Station, Qiaocheng East Station and Qiaocheng North Station of the Luobao Line and Shekou Line of Shenzhen Metro. In the future, Meilin Line will also pass this area and serve OCT Harbour and the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital. It is classified as an AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration.

Nei or Inner Lingding Island, formerly romanized as Lintin or Lin Tin Island, is an island in the Pearl River estuary in the southeastern Chinese province of Guangdong. Although it is located closer to the eastern shore of the estuary, it was until 2009 administratively part of the prefecture-level city of Zhuhai, whose main administrative center is located on the west shore of the river. The jurisdiction of Nei Lingding Island was handed over to Shenzhen in 2009.

Tang Lang New Village, is also found in Xili. University Town of Shenzhen, apartments for migrant workers and the Xili People's Hospital are located in the area.

The station is named after Shenzhen University, but its name has been criticised since it is actually near Shenzhen High-Tech Park.
