The University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Business is the University of Connecticut's graduate and undergraduate public business school. It spans across four campuses, with the main campus located in Storrs, Connecticut.
The UConn School of Business was founded in 1941 and offers academic programs at the bachelor, MBA, Executive MBA, doctorate and advanced certificate levels.
The main campus in Storrs is home to the business school's primary administrative functions, outreach initiatives, undergraduate and Ph.D. programs, as well as the graduate programs in accounting and human resource management. Students study in a $27 million research and learning facility located in the campus near the Student Union, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Gampel Pavilion and the Homer Babbidge Library. Built in early 2000, the four-story, 100,000-square-foot facility, houses the School's five academic departments (accounting, finance, management, marketing, and operations and information management), as well as faculty, staff, classes, and a lounge. The University of Connecticut Graduate Business Learning Center (GBLC) is located at 100 Constitution Plaza in downtown Hartford, Connecticut, and is home to the business school's Full-time, Part-time and Executive MBA Program offices, classrooms, and conference facilities, as well as the Student Managed Fund, SS&C Technologies Financial Accelerator, SCOPE. The GBLC was remodeled in 2004. [4]
With an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students, UConn's Waterbury campus offers the four-year bachelor's degree program with majors in business administration and business data analytics. At the graduate level, the Waterbury campus offers the Part-time MBA degree and some graduate business certificate coursework. [5]
UConn's campus in downtown Stamford provides internships, field placements and jobs with companies and non-profit organizations headquartered in Fairfield county. [6]
UConn's School of Business offers a number of programs fully online. Programs such as the online Master of Business Administration (OMBA), a Master's in Human Resource Management and the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) utilize some of today's most interactive and innovative technologies.
The UConn School of Business offers programs in a variety of functional disciplines — Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Operations and Information Management. The School of Business also offers interdisciplinary centers in economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, international business, and real estate, as well as programs in health care management and insurance studies.
The department was the first accounting program in New England to receive separate national accreditation by AACSB International. [7] The department offers Bachelors, Masters, and a Ph.D. [8] The Masters of Science in Accounting has been 100% online since 2003 and is consistently ranked among the top online non-MBA masters programs in the country. [9] The accounting department faculty includes a recipient of the American Accounting Association Notable Contributions to Accounting Literature Award [10] and two recipients of the American Accounting Association/Deloitte Foundation Wildman Award. The Department of Finance provides education in a range of finance-related fields such as: corporate or business finance, financial management in government and not-for-profit organizations, financial planning, investments, banking, insurance, real estate, public accounting, and health systems. The Marketing Department at the University of Connecticut consists of faculty in marketing and business law. [12]
The Department of Operations and Information Management (OPIM) at the University of Connecticut offers undergraduate majors in Management Information Systems and in Management and Engineering for Manufacturing. [13]
The MIS concentration at UConn is ranked 22nd nationally among public and private programs by U.S. News & World Report. [14]
The UConn School of Business has been continuously accredited by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – since 1958. [15] AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. [1] The School ranks in the top 5 percent of business schools and is widely considered one of the best in the United States as evidenced in frequent rankings by Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes, U.S. News & World Report [16] and The Princeton Review. The School of Business is very selective. Approximately 26% of applicants were admitted to the M.B.A. program in 2012 with a median GPA of 3.5 and a GMAT score of 620. [19] For undergraduate students, the School requires an application to transfer from elsewhere in the university. In 2016, 55% of UConn students who applied to the School of Business were accepted with an average cumulative GPA of 3.64. [20]
Considered a Public Ivy, the main campus of the University of Connecticut is located in Storrs and is considered one of the leading research universities in the United States. [21]
Research centers are an integral part of the UConn School of Business, supporting teaching, advancing scholarship and innovation, and providing a professional forum for exchange between faculty, students and the corporate community.
As one of 17 Centers for International Business Education & Research located in universities throughout the U.S., the UConn CIBER is mandated to increase the competitiveness of U.S. business in the global marketplace. The UConn School of Business first received the CIBER grant from the Department of Education in 1995 as part of the Higher Education Act. [22]
The Connecticut Center for Economic Analysis (CCEA), is a University Center located within the School of Business at the University of Connecticut (UConn). CCEA specializes in economic impact and policy analysis studies, as well as advising clients regarding business strategy, market analysis, and related topics. [23]
The Center for Real Estate and Urban Economic Studies provides services to Connecticut's real estate professionals and to the Department of Consumer Protection. [24]
The University of Connecticut (UConn) is a public land-grant research university system whose main campus is in Storrs, Connecticut. It was founded in 1881 as the Storrs Agricultural School, named after two benefactors. In 1893, the school became a public land grant college, taking the name University of Connecticut in 1939. Over the following decade, social work, nursing, and graduate programs were established. During the 1960s, UConn Health was established for new medical and dental schools. UConn is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education.

The Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business is the school of business at Purdue University, a public research university in West Lafayette, Indiana. It offers instruction at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels.
The Martin J. Whitman School of Management is the business school of Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Named after Martin J. Whitman, an alumnus and benefactor of the school, the school was established in 1919. The Whitman School offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, as well as executive degree programs.
The Robert H. Smith School of Business is the business school at the University of Maryland, College Park, a public research university in College Park, Maryland. The school was named after alumnus Robert H. Smith. One of 12 colleges and schools at the university's main campus, the Smith School offers programs at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. It is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) to award bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in business.
The Penn State Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University offers undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs to more than 6,000 students. Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Smeal, is home to more than 150 faculty members who teach and conduct academic research on a range of business topics. The college also features a network of industry-supported research centers.
The College of Business is the business school at East Carolina University. Founded in 1936, and claiming distinction as the second oldest business school in North Carolina, the College houses both undergraduate and graduate students. The College's undergraduate programs were accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 1967, and the College's graduate programs were accredited by the AACSB in 1976. Out of North Carolina's 23 business schools, ten, including ECU, are accredited by the AACSB. It is a part of the GMAC governing body.
The New York Institute of Technology School of Management is the business school of the New York Institute of Technology. The NYIT School of Management offers graduate degrees, including Master of Business Administration degree (M.B.A.) and Master of Science degree in Risk Management (M.S.R.M.) among others. The school also offers many undergraduate degrees, including in business administration, management, finance, and marketing at its campuses in United States, Canada, and China. The School of Management also collaborates with multiple colleges and universities worldwide, offering joint programs, dual degrees, summer study programs, study abroad options, and faculty and student exchange. The school of management is led by Deborah Y. Cohn, Ph.D., MBA (89) as interim dean. All domestic and global campuses of New York Institute of Technology School of Management are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) In 2015, NYIT's MBA program was ranked #1 in the United States in terms of salary-to-debt ratio. According to the survey by SoFi, graduates of NYIT's MBA program make an average of $126,068 per year, and have an average debt of $50,308.
The Florida International University (FIU) College of Business, located in Miami, Florida in the United States is one of the university's 26 schools and colleges and was founded in 1965. The college is split into two separate schools: the Landon Undergraduate School of Business with over 7,00 students and the Chapman Graduate School of Business with close to 2,200 students, making the College of Business the largest professional college at FIU.
The Wake Forest University School of Business is the business school of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It offers management-related masters programs and executive education programs, as well as undergraduate program to around 1,314 students. The school is SACSCOC, AACSB, and AACSB-Accounting accredited. It has a second campus in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The A. B.Freeman School of Business is the business school of Tulane University, located in New Orleans, in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The school offers undergraduate programs, a full-time MBA program and other master's programs, a doctoral program, and executive education. It was a charter member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business in 1916. The school was named in honor of A. B. Freeman, a former chairman of the Louisiana Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and a prominent New Orleans philanthropist. The school is known in the finance community as the publisher of Burkenroad Reports.

The Gabelli School of Business is the undergraduate and graduate business school of Fordham University, a private Jesuit research university in New York City, New York.
Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business encompasses the undergraduate, graduate, and executive-level business programs of Loyola University Chicago in downtown Chicago, Illinois, with campuses and partnerships in Rome, Italy; Beijing, China; and Saigon-Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As a top 3 MBA program in Chicago and the city's No. 1 undergraduate business school, Quinlan is the city's only Jesuit business school and was founded in 1922 to help working-class employees move from the factory floor to the front office. In 2012, it was named for Michael R. Quinlan, the University's two-time alumnus, who worked his way up from the mailroom to the boardroom of McDonald's as chairman and CEO.

The Charles H. Lundquist College of Business is the University of Oregon's business school. Founded in 1914, the Lundquist College offers undergraduate degree programs in business administration and accounting, as well as MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Science in Sports Product Management, Master of Accounting, Master of Science in Finance, and PhD graduate programs. These degree programs are supported by four departments and one school of accounting.
The R.B. Pamplin College of Business, is Virginia Tech's business school. Founded in 1965, it has more than 41,000 alumni. The current Dean is Saonee Sarker. In 1986 the college was renamed following a donation from alumnus Robert B. Pamplin and his son Robert B. Pamplin Jr.
The Lee Business School is the business school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). It holds international dual accreditation in business and accounting by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Lee Business School is one of the largest colleges at UNLV and offers ten undergraduate majors, 14 minors and seven graduate programs.
