As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 1,945 people, 521 households, and 451 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,386.1 inhabitants per square mile (921.3/km2). There were 590 housing units at an average density of 723.8 per square mile (279.5/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 66.68% White, 0.72% African American, 0.82% Native American, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 29.00% from other races, and 2.72% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 86.79% of the population.
There were 521 households, out of which 57.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.9% were married couples living together, 11.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.4% were non-families. 12.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.73 and the average family size was 4.08.
