Vampirina: Teenage Vampire is an upcoming American musical comedy television series developed by Randi Barnes and inspired by the Disney Jr. series, Vampirina . Vee Hauntley, a tween vampire girl, leaves Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. While living amongst humans, she pursues her passion for music and keeps her vampire identity a secret, which becomes a challenge when her overprotective father sends an overzealous ghost to accompany her at the school.
On November 1, 2024, Disney Branded Television gave a series order to a live action adaptation of Vampirina. The series is developed by Randi Barnes, who serves as the showrunner of the pilot and an executive producer of the series. Barnes stepped down from showrunner duties for the rest of the season, and Dan Cross & David Hoge were hired to replace her. Tim Federle and Bronwyn North-Reist also serve as executive producers. Kimberly McCullough directed and executive produced the pilot. [2] On August 12, 2025, it was announced that the series would premiere on September 12, 2025. It was also announced that there would be a special crossover episode with Wizards Beyond Waverly Place with Janice LeAnn Brown reprising her role as Billie. [1]
