Vasbert Conniel Drakes (born 5 August 1969 in Springhead,Saint Andrew,Barbados) is a former West Indian cricketer,who played Tests and ODIs. He was a right-arm medium-fast bowler and handy right-hand lower order batsman.
Drakes featured for Sussex,Nottinghamshire,Warwickshire,Leicestershire and Border in his cricketing career. He also coached the UAE,Barbados and the West Indies women's cricket team.
Drakes made his international debut in 1994–95,when he played 5 ODI games against Australia cricket team,followed by a tour of England. He did not return to the side until the age of 33,when in September 2002 he was named in the West Indies cricket team' squad for the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy.
He took the wicket of Jacques Kallis in his first international over for seven years. He went on to make his test debut,on 8 December 2002,against Bangladesh at Dhaka's Bangabandhu National Stadium. [1] [2] Drakes then took 5 wickets against Australia in the first test of the 2003 Frank Worrel Trophy series played at Bourda. This was his first and only five wicket haul in test match cricket. With the bat he scored a notable unbeaten 27 which helped the Windies to chase down a world-record target of 418,set by Australia cricket team in the fourth test of the series played at the Antigua Recreation Ground. He later made 67 in a test match played in and against South Africa. This was his first and only half century in international cricket.
Drakes also featured in the 2003 ICC World Cup where he took a spectacular diving catch in a game against Canada. He eventually picked up a sum of 51 wickets at an average of 25.35 with two five wicket hauls in his ODI career.
Drakes played county cricket for English sides Sussex,Nottinghamshire,Warwickshire and Leicestershire. He scored two centuries for Sussex and picked up 80 wickets in his first and only season with Nottinghamshire. He also featured for South African club Border,with Drakes twice being named,in 1999 and 2000,as one of the South African Cricketers of the Year. [3] [4] [5] [6]
Drakes is also one of only six batsmen in the history of first-class cricket to be given out timed out. As he wasn't in the country at the time,his flight to South Africa,to attend a match played between Border and Free State,had been delayed by several hours. [7] [8]
After his cricketing career,Drakes was appointed coach of United Arab Emirates national cricket team for a three-month period that included the 2008 Asia Cup and 2008 ACC Trophy Elite. Then he took over coaching for Barbados cricket team. [9] [10] He was also briefly the coach of Queen's Park Cricket Club. [11]
In April 2015,Drakes was named head coach of West Indies women's cricket team. [3] [5] He led the West Indies women's cricket team to their first major title by winning the 2016 ICC Women's World Twenty20 in India. [12] [13] [14]
Drakes's son,Dominic Drakes is also a cricketer who's a left arm seamer. [15]
Joel Garner is a former West Indian cricketer,and a member of the highly regarded late 1970s and early 1980s West Indies cricket teams. Garner is the highest ranked One Day International bowler according to the ICC best-ever bowling ratings,and is 37th in Tests. Garner was a member of the West Indies teams that won their second world title in the 1979 Cricket World Cup as well as finishing as runners-up at the 1983 Cricket World Cup.

Sir Cuthbert Gordon Greenidge is a Barbadian retired cricketer who represented the West Indies in Test and One-day Cricket for 17 years,as well as Barbados and Hampshire in first-class cricket. Greenidge is regarded worldwide as one of the greatest and most destructive opening batsmen in cricket history. In 2009,Greenidge was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. He was a member of the squads which won the 1975 Cricket World Cup,1979 Cricket World Cup and come runners-up in the 1983 Cricket World Cup.

Jerome Everton Taylor is a Jamaican cricketer who has played as a fast bowler for the West Indies. Taylor eventually picked up 100 wickets for the Windies in both tests and odis. During 2017 he reversed an initial decision to retire from international cricket. Taylor has also featured for Jamaica,English sides Somerset,Leicestershire and Sussex,CPL teams St Lucia Zouks and Jamaica Tallawahs and IPL sides Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians in his cricketing career. Taylor was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2016 T20 World Cup. He is the only bowler to have ever taken a hat-trick in a Champions Trophy match,which he did in the 2006 tournament against Australia,and that was the first hat-trick taken by a West Indian bowler in the ODI format.

James William Arthur Taylor is an English former cricketer and cricket selector who played for Nottinghamshire and England. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm leg break bowler,Taylor made his debut in first-class cricket in 2008 for Leicestershire and made major impressions in his first county seasons. He is noted as being a fine fielder in the covers. He became the youngest Leicestershire one-day centurion and first-class double centurion. In 2009,Taylor also became the youngest player in Leicestershire's history to score 1,000 championship runs in a season. A promising talent in his 34 white-ball appearances for England,Taylor was forced into retirement at just 26 years of age due to a previously undiagnosed heart condition.

The following year,he was named the CWI ODI Player of the Year. He is generally regarded as one of the best ODI batsmen in the contemporary cricketing world. Hasan Ali is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for the national team in all formats. He made his first-class debut for Sialkot in October 2013. He made his international debut for Pakistan in August 2016 in a One Day International (ODI) match. The following summer,he was named in Pakistan's squad for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan went on to win the tournament with Ali named player of the tournament after taking thirteen wickets,and took the final wicket of Jasprit Bumrah. He became the quickest bowler for Pakistan to take 50 wickets in ODIs. The 2020 Bob Willis Trophy was a first-class cricket tournament held in the 2020 English cricket season,and the inaugural edition of the Bob Willis Trophy. It was separate from the County Championship,which was not held in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. The eighteen county cricket teams were split into three regional groups of six,with the two group winners with the most points advancing to a final held at Lord's. The maximum number of overs bowled in a day was reduced from 96 to 90,and the team's first innings could be no longer than 120 overs.
Rehan Ahmed is an English cricketer. He made his international debut against Pakistan on 17 December 2022,becoming England men's youngest Test debutant at the age of 18 years and 126 days. On the third day of the match he also became the youngest debutant to take five wickets in an innings in men’s Tests. On 12 March 2023,Ahmed became the youngest England male cricketer to play in all three formats of international cricket.
