Vincent Kipsang Rono (born 22 December 1990) is a Kenyan male long-distance runner who competes in track, road running, and cross country running.
For most of his career during 2010 to 2016, he served as a pacemaker on the IAAF Diamond League and European track circuit. He won his first road race at the Le Lion Half Marathon in France in 2015. Rono acted as pacemaker at the Frankfurt Marathon in 2016. [1] He begin to pick up his own racing career in earnest from the 2017 season onwards. [2]
A fourth-place finish at the 2017 Kenyan Cross Country Championships led to his first international selection at age 26. [3] He shared in the team silver medal at the 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships after finishing seventh. His debut over the marathon distance followed a month later and he claimed fourth at the Daegu Marathon in a time of 2:10:23 hours. Returning to Kenya, he won the Kenyan Police 10,000 metres race but despite a runner-up placing at the Kenyan Athletics Championships, he did not gain a spot on the Kenyan track team that year as he failed to finish at the trials race. He established himself as a strong road runner at the Lille Half Marathon, which he won in 59:27 minutes – his first clocking under an hour over the distance. [4] In 2019, Rono finished 5th at the Rotterdam Marathon in a time of 2:07:10 hours. [5]
In 2022, Rono won the Tel Aviv Marathon, with a time of 2:12:55. [6] [7]

Eliud Kipchoge is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in the marathon and formerly specialized at the 5000 metre distance. Regarded as one of the greatest marathon runners of all time, he is the 2016 and 2020 Olympic marathon champion, and was the world record holder in the marathon with a time of 2:01:09 set at the 2022 Berlin Marathon, until that record was broken by Kelvin Kiptum at the Chicago Marathon on 8 October 2023 with a time of 2:00:35. He has run five of the nine fastest marathons in history.
Salim Kipsang is a Kenyan long-distance runner, who specializes in the 10,000 metres and marathon.
Florence Jebet Kiplagat is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner. She is a two-time world champion, having won at the 2009 IAAF World Cross Country Championships and the 2010 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships. She was the world record holder for the women's half marathon with a time of 1:05:09 hours until it was broken by Peres Jepchirchir on 10 February 2017 at the RAK Half Marathon.

Philemon Kimeli Limo is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner who competes in cross country running and road running competitions. He has a half marathon best of 59:30 minutes and a marathon best of 2:09:25 hours. He typically competes on the Italian road circuit and has won the Roma-Ostia and Prague Half Marathons.
Geoffrey Kipsang Kamworor is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner. He won the silver medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics. Kamworor claimed victories at the World Half Marathon Championships three times in a row from 2014 to 2018. He took individual titles at the World Cross Country Championships in 2015 and 2017, and finished third in 2019. He won his first World Marathon Major at the 2017 New York City Marathon and regained his title in 2019, after a second-place finish in 2015. Kamworor also placed second at the 2023 London Marathon and earned three other podium finishes at a World Marathon Majors.
Peter Cheruiyot Kirui is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner who competes over 10,000 metres on the track and in road running competitions. He was the 2011 Kenyan champion over 10,000 m and came sixth at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics. He has acted as a pacemaker for major marathons and has a marathon best of 2:06:31 hours. His best for the half marathon is 59:22 minutes.
Levy Matebo Omari is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes mainly in marathon races. Matebo has a personal best of 2:05:16 hours for the 42.195 km distance, which he set as a runner-up at the 2011 Frankfurt Marathon. He was also second at the Boston Marathon in 2012. Stephen Kosgei Kibet is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in road running competitions from the 10K run to the marathon. His half marathon personal best of 58:54 minutes ranks him in the top ten of all-time for the distance. His best of the marathon distance is 2:08:05 hours.

Andrew Masai is a Kenyan former long-distance runner who competed in road running and cross country running events. He was one of Kenya's best cross country runners in the late 1980s, taking six team gold medals at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. His best individual finish at that competition was sixth in 1987. He was key to the rise of Kenya in cross country, helping the nation to its first team title and scoring points which helped establish an unbeaten streak in the team race which lasted from 1986 to 2003.
Cyprian Kimurgor Kotut is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner who competes in the marathon. His best for the distance is 2:04:47 hours. He was the winner of the 2016 Paris Marathon. He also holds a half marathon best of 59:12 minutes, set in 2014.
Paul Kipchumba Lonyangata is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in road running events. He is a marathon runner with a personal best of 2:06:10 and has won marathons in Lisbon, Shanghai, Taipei and Paris. He was a bronze medallist at the World Junior Championships in Athletics in 2010.
