Volvarina hyalina is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Marginellidae, the margin snails. [1] This species of sea snail has multiple unaccepted names such as Hyalina hyalina, Marginellia hyalina and even Volvarina hyalina isn't an accepted name so they changed it to Pustinella hyalina instead [2] so from now on i'll call it that.

Description

The shell size varies between 4.5mm and 8mm. Its parent snail is Pustinella teso. This sea snail was discovered during the German South Polar Expedition (possibly the Gauss expedition)

Distribution

This species is found in the cold waters along the South Shetlands, Weddell Sea and South America. no one knows how it got to South America but it likely got there by evolution.
